You just hook it to a fast speed internet connection then it provides cracks for the channels. So mybe i would do the same and get this channel.

Where can I get this channel or is it even available in Finland?
Still early to be international, I guess...

It will be included in Sky pocket for free as a test, then they'll decide what to do...

How "big" is the pocket? Italy size, Europe size or world size???

Maybe we should all bombard Sky with queries. If they get a lot of queries, they'll realise there is a demand for the channel & they'll make it available to everyone.

This is all the reply I have from them, so far: -

Thanks for your email.

We will reply to your enquiry shortly.

Thank you for using Sky.Com

I don't know if the part I've emboldened (the relevant department) will take note of a solitary enquiry, but I sent them this one today. sorry for name dropping & for missing anyone's country out.

Thank you for your e-mail (from Debbie) dated 27/10/2006. Unfortunately it does not really answer my query. From Juventus's official website, I found out that they are starting to broadcast the Juventus channel quite soon.

Lift-off for Juventus Channel.
The waiting is over: Juventus Channel begins broadcasting on the 1st November. Headed up by Alessandra Bacchetta and dedicated to the world of the Bianconeri, the themed channel will be officially unveiled to the press on Monday 30th October at 1:00 pm at Vinovo’s Juventus Center. Transmission will begin on Juventus’ 109th birthday, serving up pre- and post-match coverage of the championship clash with Brescia as dish of the day. Juventus Channel will not just focus on Bianconeri matches, it will also cover training sessions, tell the story of the club and reveal the human side of Deschamps’ champions. But that’s not all. As well as looking at the obvious sporting side, ranging from the first team to the youth set up, the club’s activities – its projects and initiatives - will also have their share of the spotlight. It’s fitting to say “the first black and white television channel is born”, a new, unmissable opportunity for the millions of Bianconeri fans out there to forge even closer ties with our Juventus.
Journalists wishing to attend the press conference on the occasion of the unveiling of Juventus Channel are kindly asked to send a fax to 0039 011 440 7461. "
On Sky, I could access ManU, Chelsea, Real Madrid & one or two other dedicated channels, if I wished to, so why not Juventus? I know that it would take a little time to organise & that I read somewhere on the web that it was going to be in a trial "pocket" (whatever they meant by that).
I know of others in the UK; England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland(Northern + "Southern" ) that would be interested in this channel, Along with a few from Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Rab from Romainia, & Mark from Croatia. Only 11million of the 35million Juventus Fans are in Italy. There are several in the UK (there is a fan club in London, although I'm not a member) - certainly more than Real Madrid fans. There are also a lot of Juventus fans in the USA & Canada, Australia, other European countries not already mentioned, the middle east & far east. There are even a few in South America & Africa too.
Sky is not just British based; it reaches millions of people world- wide. It would be a pity that so many would be unable to see their favourite club play. Perhaps the people at the Italian channels, Sky Calcio or Sky Sport Italia could supply you with information about the new channel & how widespread it availability will be in the future and/or perhaps you could discuss with them, the latter.
If there are any further developments, could you please let me know. Thank you.
Kind regards,etc.
Natalia, have you had any luck? If so how much is the subscription & how available will the channel be?

I hear you. I am just hoping for the occasional hightlight show -- the way Milan airs them on FSC. But even that will be a far stretch with Juve in B.

“We’re taking the stadium to the homes of the fans”

Juventus Channel is a reality: the first televsion channel dedicated entirely to Juventus was officially unveiled today at the Vinovo sports centre. Chairman Giovanni Cobolli-Gigli, CEO and Managing Director Jean-Claude Blanc and Commercial Director Marco Fassone all spoke at the press conference, having first been introduced by the club’s Director of Communications and new chief of Juventus Channel, Giuseppe Gattino. All the Juventus top brass were present at the channel’s launch, with Director of Sport Alessio Secco, head of the youth set up Ciro Ferrara and first team coach Didier Deschamps also in the audience. “Through this themed channel – began Chairman Cobolli-Gigli – we continue to reach the thirteen million fans of Juventus who, even during this difficult moment, have registered peaks in both viewing figures and passion”. CEO Blanc continued: “With the website and the magazine Hurrà Juventus, Juventus Channel completes our club’s communications platform. For us this represents an extension of the Stadio Comunale. We’re doing a lot to bring families to the stadium, and from now on, to bring the stadium to the families”. “The channel - concluded commercial director Fassone – is the product of a year of working closely with Rai Trade. The launch of Juventus Channel on the 1st November, marking the 109th birthday of Juventus, is significant. It represents the ideal link between the glorious past in black and white and the present, in which we are repainting the future of Juventus with all the colours of the palette”.

Juventus Channel is born

The date is set for the 1st November, the day of Juventus’ 109th birthday, when, on the occasion of the clash with Brescia, Juventus Channel will go on air, broadcasting first-class live match coverage of the game. To mark the occasion, Juventus Channel – Sky, channel 231 – will be available to subscribers of Sky’s Sport e Calcio package, while from the 2nd to 30th November it will be open to all Sky subscribers with at least one package. From the 30th November onwards, the channel will be available, in conjunction with any Sky package, at a cost of €8 per month.

Sky and Juventus Channel have come up with a promotion for Bianconeri fans. Anyone who signs up to SKY and Juventus Channel before the 30th November 2006 (call +39 199.177.133) will receive three months of Juventus Channel free of charge, that is until 1st March 2007.

Juventus Channel will provide minute by minute coverage of day to day life in the Juventus camp, through the matches - broadcast after the event but featuring live pre- and post-match coverage from the stadiums - and a close look at the work carried out by the team which, thanks to special features ranging from exclusive interviews to analytical segments, will be closer than ever to its fans.

The channel will: focus on the team’s day to day activities with “231 Live” live from Vinovo; take a look at the past with “La Panchina” (The Bench), upon which the protagonists of the history of the Bianconeri will tell their stories; rerun the games in a new, exciting way, uniting the pathos of the ninety minutes with the tactical analysis of the games in “Zero-Novanta”; provide original portraits of the personalities whose own stories are intertwined with that of Juventus in one way or another – “Borderline. Encounters in Bianconero on the frontiers of sport”; dedicate itself to the discovery of tomorrow’s talent with “Punto Giovani”, focusing on the teams of the Bianconeri youth set up.

These are just a few of the programmes which Juventus Channel will offer to its public. Its rich, complete and unmissable line-up will bring Juventus into the homes of every Bianconeri fan.
