What's going on, buddy?

haven't spoken to you in a little while.

Anyway, at this point of the month, I doubt that Juve is getting anybody.

Hasn't Stankovic already decided he wants to join Inter instead? Why is Juve still after him then?

thats bcoz Juve had an understanding with him.

My assumption is that Stankovic's agent screwed things so and not the player himself.

And it would be a shame to see a player like Stankovic go to Inter and ruin his career like all others before him.

There should be a rule that a player could veto decisions his agents make. It seems unfair and there have already been a lot of situations where the agent and player have miscommunicated.

I dont see how a 31 year old is going to fix an ageing defence problem. I admit that Stam is currently 5 times the defender that iuliano, montero, legrottaglie, tudor and ferrara are, but still, come two years time and we are back to square one.

i say get Ferrari to replace Montero. He is exactly what we need IMO. And buy Mexes to partner him. Legrottaglie is good, but we need more than one central defender next season.

ferrara- retires
Iuliano- sold or swapped
Montero- same as above
Fresi- serie Z for him:D

keep Tudor and Legrottaglie and bring in Mexes and Ferrari as central defenders. Then buy good back up to Thuram as we have no cover for him. This way Thuram could be used as the option for central defender also.

if Mexes cant be bought, then buy Trabelsi or Oddo and move Thuram into the centre.

And Stankovic would be a great buy as he, tacchinardi and maresca would form a lovely trio behind nedved.

The problem is that to replace Montero we need a LEFT Center back and Ferrari plays Right. Guys like Stam played LCB with ManU and Lucio with Leverkusen. It's not that easy to play LCB if you played RCB all your life.IMO Some players can adapt but others don't.

hmmmm, i see what you mean. What about Mexes and Thuram? i'm thinking they are more RCB. But still, surely playing in a 4 man defence it shouldnt matter that much.

We'll, Thuram plays RB or RCB, Mexès plays RCB. I'd buy Mexès anytime. Legrottaglie played a couple of games with the national team on LCB but I don't know if he could do it on a regular basis. Puyol can play LCB but Barça will never sell him. Lucio plays in that position but lacks defensive skills. Stam also can play there but he's not getting any younger. Everybody hates Kroldrup exept me here but he could be a good sub for us IMO.:D
I hope we have one with the Primavera squad but we never hear anything about our defenders back there. Roma have 2 good ones but Sensi is not that stupid to sell one to us, or is he.;) Maybe Tudor can play LCB but he's always injured. That's a problem that Moggi will have to solve next year or in a couple of years when Montero leaves. Good RCB's are easy to find but LCB's are very rare, especially the ones that can kick with their left foot also.
