Seems like we are close on Barzagli !

Translating (fast :O) :

The sportive director of Palerma already say it a few days ago : "Its better to sell a player who isnt motivated anymore", (@ Barzagli). Zamparini : "We are negotating with Juve to sell him. They must satisfy our demands, but i dont have close the Fiorentina-door."
We are close on Barzagli since 2005

Serie A Daily Transfer Speculation Round-up 13/06/07
Let's take a look at who is linked to which team according to the latest transfer rumours coming from Italy.

zoom - galleria Massimo Moratti has made it clear that his dream purchase is West Ham's Carlitos Tevez. However, the Nerazzurri are also close to sign David Suazo from Cagliari. Moratti also denied that Antonio Cassano and David Trezeguet feature in their wish list.

Milan have apparently lost the possibility of signing Samuel Eto`o from Barcelona, but the Rossoneri will make up for it with Didier Drogba who expressed his desire to play in Italy next season.

Claudio Ranieri is aiming on Fabrizio Miccoli next season as the small forward will make his return to Juventus from Benfica after two successful years in Portugal.

Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Andrea Barzagli will most likely join Juventus, even though Fiorentina are still in with a chance to sign the World Cup winner.

Igor Tudor officially announced that he left Juventus for Hajduk Split after 8 seasons with the Bianconeri, marred by injuries in between some excellent performances.

Goalkeeper Matteo Sereni is leaving Lazio after negotiations between the player and the club stalled in the past days according to his agent (and wife).

Valeri Bojinov wants to stay in Florence as he returned from his unsuccessful loan with Juventus and spoke to Coach Cesare Prandelli to let him know what his intentions were.

What seemed like an almost certain deal for Fiorentina has turned out into a missed opportunity, as Chievo Verona declared that they received better offers from abroad for their midfielder Semioli.

Udinese have no intention of selling Pinzi, Natali and Di Natale. The General Director of the Friulani, Pietro Leonardi, also stated that the Iaquinta deal to Juventus is not yet finalized.

Atalanta's President, Ivan Ruggeri, had made it clear that the Bergamaschi are currenlty not discussing the transfer of Doni or Ferraira Pinto. However, the Nerazzuri are interested in signing Eugenio Corini on a free transfer.

Siena have officially announced that Andrea Mandorlini is the new coach of the Tuscan club.

Elsewhere, Parma have also announced that their new coach is former Mantova mentor Mimmo Di Carlo.

Sasa Bjelanovic is on the verge of signing for Torino from Ascoli, as the Bianconeri are trying to gather liquidity to build their new side in Serie B.

he is.who is going to partner milito, boumsong?please no
milito-barzagli will be a very solid backline
True, but also a very expensive one.
What about:

Zebina----Grygera-----Millito----Chielini

With Birindelli, Boumsong, Criscito and Legro as backups, surely good enough for our first season back

criscito is still young and relatively inexperienced to be handed a permanent starting role
havent seen grygera or chiellini play as CB to be able to comment but from what i ve heard chiellini is better as a LB

Don't know if he still is a priority if we sign millito.
However we gonna need another CB beside Millito cuz we are short at the back, especially now when Tudor, Kovac and Balza are leaving. Or mybe if we sign Antunes than we gonna turn Chiellini into CB and we gonna have backline like this: Zebina(Gygera) - Millitio(Boumsong) - Chiellini(Criscito) - Antunes and also some players we can rotate like playing Chiellini on the left and Gygera as a CB.

if we get both barzagli and milito our defence would be sured up for the next few years, and we have the potential for a damn good one as well.
Exactly, and those players both have enough experience to teach the youngsters their job, so we will not be needing more defenders for the next couple of years!

but still i dont think barzagli will come if we sign milito cuz the board said only 3 big signing 4 this year..
both milito and barzagli are big signing imo..
also we almost get almiron+iaquinta..
so there will only one of them in our next squad..
but i'm all for them in our backline..
