I think Barzagli and Milito would be a good central pairing. Forget Zaccardo, we have Grygera and Criscito, as well as Chiellini. Maybe we should look at getting one more defender on a free who has some experience and isnt injury prone like most of our dudd backups right now.

Easier said than done. The guy is one of the best defenders, if not the best defender out there at the moment. Many clubs would love to get him, including Milan. Also I don't think Chelsea will let him go easily, despite being unable to play for them.
