Suazo to leave Cagliari
Honduras striker David Suazo will leave Cagliari in the summer, it has been announced by club president Massimo Cellino.
"David has a written agreement, he is to leave at the end of the season", Cellino confirmed.
Suazo, 27, was Cagliari's top scorer last season with 22 goals in Serie A and has been coveted by top teams home and abroad since last June, but the club and player had an agreement that he would stay in Sardinia for one more year to help them retain top division status for another term.
"It has been a big sacrifice keeping him and he will always have to thank Cagliari," Cellino continued.
"He's a good guy. He has been able to delay his ambitions to remain with us. I'm happy for him."
Internazionale and Milan had previously declared their interest in the player, for whom Cellino allegedly rejected 15 million euro bids, but now a bidding war could start with Real Madrid, Juventus, Ajax, Manchester United and Sevilla all linked with the striker.
