Juventus are ready to hijack Walter Samuel's move from Real Madrid to Internazionale by offering Emerson in a straight swap for the Argentinian defender, according to reports in Italy.
Arrigo Sacchi is a huge fan of the Brazilian international and rumours surfaced towards the end of the season that Madrid president Florentino Perez had enquired about Emerson.
Samuel's proposed move to Internazionale has stalled after the clubs could not agree on a fee for the defender and Juve may now make their move.
Inter president Giacinto Facchetti admitted that the negotiations are in a difficult position, after returning from Madrid following a second round of talks at the end of last week.
"We haven't reached an agreement with Real Madrid," Facchetti told the club's official website.
"The difference between what we can give and what Madrid want is notable."
Juve boss Fabio Capello rates the 27-year-old Samuel highly following their time together at Roma, where the duo enjoyed winning the Scudetto.

Why the merry go round? Emerson is a more Juve type player than Viera. Still im also getting uneasy with every day that passes and Samuel doesnt sign for Inter. Its becoming increasingly likely that our midfield is going to be revolutionised this season, but by building the attack and defense.
Possibilties exist in letting go of Emerson, getting Samuel. Replacing Emerson with Viera and swapping Pizarro with Miccoli.

during the copa he said that he is much more enjoying playing in the role Capello gaves him, then the more defending role he has to play in the selecao.
I am pretty sure that his role in madrid would be the same as in the national team, while in Juve, exspecially if magical moggi can bring Vieira he can join the attacks more often, as he could do in Rome partnered with Dacourt.

That midfield is fuct up man!! Vieira aint coming!!! why you getting mugged in2 thinking he is!! is just spec. Ok moggi might of had talks but we aint gonna pay through the nose for vieira, especially on what the ARSE-nal value him at anyway. Its a NO NO!! I did read that arsenal are willing to sell but only at the right price, so like i said it'll be to what ARSE-nal value him at, if we're to get ''la grande sausage'' or what ever it was pires called him.
