Juventus have started talks with Arsenal over a proposed move for Patrick Vieira, according to reports.
Bianconeri transfer chief Luciano Moggi was in London on Wednesday where he allegedly met with Highbury officials.
Moggi openly stated his appreciation for the Frenchman a few weeks ago and he looks to have made his initial move.
Arsenal reportedly want £15m for their midfield captain even if the Turin giants are keener to proceed with a player plus cash deal.
It is believed that the Bianconeri have offered cash plus a choice from Alessio Tacchinardi, Igor Tudor and Stephen Appiah.
Vieira’s proposed arrival at the Delle Alpi could in turn signal the end of Emerson’s stint in the north of Italy.
He’s still a Real Madrid target and Juve could sell if they manage to sign Vieira, who has already worked under boss Fabio Capello at Milan in the past.
Meanwhile, reports also suggest that Moggi took advantage of his trip to the English capital to speak with Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge outfit have been linked with a multi-million pound bid for Juventus striker David Trezeguet.
The Old Lady could use the cash from his proposed sale to sign Antonio Cassano from Roma or even Parma’s Alberto Gilardino.
