Another myth. So you need to have a headless chicken with infinite stamina and brute force to give it "strength", well you did have 2 players like that. Melo and Sissoko, how good were they really? Oh my memory is so crap atm... Yeah they didn't add anything. You don't need a Gattuso or a midfield like Milan with Van Bommel and Boateng in order to have a strong midfield, you need to have a well organized midfield where everyone knows their job and how to pressure the opposition.

Barcelona for example, if they wanted, with their current pressure system and if they had him they could probably display a midfield with Cesc behind Xavi and Iniesta. You don't have to show muscle to anyone if you know what your doing and any of those 3 players (barcelonas and ours) is good enough to know how to pressure and regain ball possession.
