Juve Material?

This a phrase bandied about all over this forum by various posters on various subjects with seemingly various meanings.

So what the hell is supposed to mean??

We've seen it used in relation to success / quality all the way through many guises to moral fortitude....

Are we talking:

A players ability / quality?
A players trophy haul?
A players character?

In relation to:

the teams quality?
the teams trophy cabinet?
the teams character ?
the teams standing?
etc, etc
(all of which can be knocked down with absolute ease btw)

So what is it?

To me its a falacy, a term generally used by people with little reasoning to their argument... A term used by supporters of almost every team you care to mention.

But, hey, thats why i'm asking...

Also what is the difference between your 'Juve material' and a barca fans 'barca material' or 'manu material' or 'milan material' etc etc

Thank you... answers on a postcard...

Juve Material?QUOTE]

It IS different to anyone elses. In Italy they use the term "da Juve" & asks if a player has what it takes to be da Juve. The term is never applied to other clubs. It is used by the sports dailies & fans alike, and seems to refer to the players mentality. It takes a different kind of player, a different type of man to play for our club. The expectation is different to any other club. We have to win, with style, & our players must always be dignified & carry themselves with class. We still have rules against players wearing earrings on official duties FFS!

Various players have failed to make the grade & not lasted at Juve, but have flourished at other clubs, others would never be considered becaue of their lifestyle, attitude etc. Cassano & Totti are prime examples. Juventus would never sign players with their kind of attitude. I don't think we would have taken on Ibra if we had any manager than Crapello. He is a fine example of all that is not "da Juve".

Hope this helps answer your question.

Yeah, but we always stand up again, don't we?

That's the difference between Juventus and let's say AC Milan.

PS Oh one more defination of Juve material player: whatever his success is - he's always humble, and doesn't lose his cool.

    :disagree:

Players we've had? Such as who? At least back up what you say with facts. It is different, we are different. Why do you think so many world class, world cup winning champions stayed with us this summer? Would Ronaldo & Casillas stay with Madrid? Would Deco & Eto'o stay at Barca? Would anyone stay at Inter? Pirlo & Gila at Milan? Are you honestly for real? Any Juve fan knows these facts. Our players are, & always have been a by-word for class. John Charles, Scirea, Boniperti, Bettega, Cabrini, Tardelli, Zoff, Baggio, Conte, Di Livio, Del Piero. The list is endless. What mindless drivel you post.

You got it wrong. Open your mind a lil more, you'll figure out what I mean.
No need... you use that picture as a symbol... now whether you like it or not.. that is a picture of a group of fascist cunts... If you then use it in relation to Juve you look to our "supporter" group 'Drughi' who are also indeed fascist cunts...

Lol... though i didnt offer an opinion though.. i asked a question that people decide to offer some random non-sensical immature statement too, rather than answer it...
