i think riquelme is available for free this summer, so i read in some italian newspaper.

but i still stick by what my friends at the drughi said about diego, though quite frankly any of the 3 attacking mids wud suit me fine, they all have different qualities that we cud use at juve

What did your friends say?
bare in mind this was some months ago whilst didi was in charge, diego was one of the players didi wanted and it is claimed that diego and juve have struck personal agreement but was down to meeting werder's asking price. but since ranieri has taken over i havnt heard anymore developments on diego, but so far its just personal details

riquelme needs wingers running routes especially on the counter spreads defense for a feed to the lone forward or a shot
------------------buffon

-------grygera--barzagli---milito-----

Sali-------tiago-----almiron--------chiellini

----------------Riquelme-----

-------XX--------------------Del Piero

that works better for Riquelme because chiellini and sali would move up and play the wings more. Abit like Pessotto and Di Livio/Zambro used to do.

his vision and technique are awesome. he is like zidane in that aspect, or maybe better. just he isn't fast. he might be called up to the argentinian squad for copa america now he is loved more i heard.

Impressive formation but it needs a holding mid ala Nocerino\Zanetti

I think your "friends" are full of bullshit.

Diego would be too expensive, Riquelme's career is over.

I don't think Riquilme's career is over, but at the same time I'm not sure any major team would be willing to take a big gamble on him to let him prove he is not finished.
