Sure he would. Barca could play 4-3-2-1 with Ronnie and VDV behind Trez. Xavi is more of a central midfielder than a trequartista anyways. I think he could do well with Barcelona, even if Man Utd would suit him very well too.
Not to sure how that would work though. Ronnie and vdV like to play on the left side of the field, so they could end up running into each others territory. And also they have Saviola as a support striker, so he would not be in the starting lineup. I don't know, maybe it would work out. But how would vdV be better suited to play for them than us. He would walk directly into the starting lineup for us. But again he "always wanted to play for Barca.":groan:

Fvck, we might not get any good midfielders this summer. Moggi, I swear to God you better bring in a great playmaker in the summer, or else!:fero:

I think it could work because both Ronnie and VDV are capable of playing behind the strikers or as a forward so they could take turns pushing forward, dropping deeper, pulling wider, ect.

Saviola? He'd have to be a sub.

As for why I think Van der Vaart is more suited to Barca than Juve, he wants to play for the Catalonians and imo his style of play goes hand in hand with that of La Liga.

Well, like I said, fvck, we won't be getting any good midfielders this summer with that statement. I will be pissed if I have to say "told you so" at this time next year playing without any damn creativity.

I prefer VDV to Rosicky, but one of them would be better than nothing. I like Sneijder a lot too, but surely Juve's target is VDV instead of Sneijder.

But in the end I think we're getting neither of them

kapo is very gifted for the french league, i have watched him and yes he has the skill. But time will tell if he fulfils his potential in serie a..btw at this moment im glad we didnt sign van persie, cos he at first glance appear to have no patience to sit on the becnh..:)confused:)..however heinsight may change my mind.

I think it was a dumb move by Arsenal, cuz don't Reyes and Van Persie play in the same position. Now, I don't think Trez will be wearing their red and white.

Trez to Arsenal was never very likely following the Gunners' 20m purchase of Reyes, and now that they've got Van Persie I think it's pretty obvious that DT isn't going to Highbury. Chelsea and Barcelona were always the favourites anyways...

I think we will spend money on big names this summer. After all, Juve is a big club.
And those who thinks Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal are better than us then you are completely wrong. With the exception of Man U, we probably have more supporters than Arsenal Chelsea combined. Juve has club image that is equal to Man U, Barca, Milan, and Inter. We have histroy than can match anyone. Not to mention we had second highest revenue last season.
So whoever thinks that we are not capable of getting Rosicky, VDV, Diego, and so forth then you are completely wrong.

I believe one of the reason why Juve didnt get big names last couple of years is that we already had good core of players from which we can be very competitive. Why need another superstar when you have Thuram, Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved, Davids, Trezeguet, Zambrotta? It is much more sensible to buy complementary players and squad players rather be wasteful on 30m talent, as Real is now finding out to great cost.
The reason why I believe we will buy big is that the core players that we have are not good enough or young enough to create a dynasty. Hence I think it is very possible that we will buy very young talented player.
Of course, everyone talks about it is impossible to find Zizous, and Del Pieros everytime; a diamond in the rough. However, lets not forget those were days prior to the proliferation of Internet. DVD, Rosicky generation, on the other hand, is more well known to the public despite their tender age mainly because there are a lot more internet users and hence the mode of communication has improved. It doesnt mean that they were better than Zizou or Alex at the simialr developmental stage.
I believe that Juve will buy players who they regard as world class regardless of our thoughts. This may be VDV, Rosicky, Diego or may be none of these, but it does not mean that Juve is umabitious club who will refuse to sign any world class player.

However, as Juve is a sensible profit maximizing firm, I believe that signings will almost certainly made by selling the group of players we currently have.

see u make a point there. however the juve board made a mistake and was too profit-oriented to realize that we just can not go forever with that group of pLayers. i mean juve are and wilL always be a great team but what they did was simpLy stupid. errors that shouLd not even exist at juventus
