Plus the point that spaniards are horrendous travellers ... maybe its not such a good idea.
Good point. I don't recall a spaniard fitting in the serie A since Luis Suarez : Mendieta, José Mari, Martin Vasquez...those who moved to the Peninsula in the last two decades or so have regularly been disappointing. But then again, it also used to be said that (ex-) soviet players could not adapt to the serie A (e.g. : Zavarov, Alejnikov, Michailichenko..). Until a certain Andriy Shevchenko signed for Milan...

Fresi btw moved to Perugia permanently. Only couple of seasons too late.

Perugia boosted by double loan
Saturday, 31 January 2004

AC Perugia have boosted their Serie A survival chances with the loan signings of defender Salvatore Fresi and forward Marcelo Zalayeta from Juventus FC until the end of the season.

Camp Nou goal
Fresi, 31, has played nine Serie A games for Juventus since joining from Bologna FC in 2002. The 25-year-old Zalayeta moved to Juventus in 1997 and has since had loan spells at Empoli FC and Sevilla FC. Last season he made ten UEFA Champions League appearances and scored the extra-time winner in the Bianconeri's quarter-final victory against FC Barcelona at Camp Nou.

UEFA Cup
Only Fresi will be eligible for Perugia's UEFA Cup campaign, as Zalayeta took part in the Champions League this season. Perugia meet PSV Eindhoven on 26 February and 3 March.

Yeah, there's the D for definitivo but all the articles say it's a loan. It doesn't matter b/c he's not part of Juve's future plans anyway.

True. BTW why Masiello is listed as DP? If that means loan, or I've missed something?
DP: DEFINITIVO CON PARTECIPAZIONE means that we got half of his contract. He may go to the Primavera or he maybe loaned to another Serie B or C club.

Torres would be great if were to sell trez, but otherwise whats the point... you cant put a player of that calibre on the bench

Plus the point that spaniards are horrendous travellers ... maybe its not such a good idea.

Cant see it happening anyway...

Personally it would be interesting to see but a bit risky and for me would be far too expensive... Cavenaghi is as good if not better imo, cheaper and less of a travel risk
Very true...

Trezeguet have just signed a contract with JUventus... and there is no sign of divaio going away... so the most secure thing is that htis news are BULL

well, i believe that di vaio should be used as bait or we should just try to cash in on him. If trezeguet stays with us, he is our main man and he is twice the player di vaio in terms of scoring goals. I wouldnt mind Torres at all. I just wonder how he would perform in Serie A.
