Decisive day for Draxler?

Today could be a decisive day for Juventus’ move for Julian Draxler, with talks reportedly taking place with Schalke.

The Bianconeri have agreed a deal with the playmaker, but had their first approach rejected by the German club.

According to SportMediaset, intermediaries are working frantically to restart talks between the two clubs, with Schalke having been enraged by the initial low offer.

The Bundesliga side are reportedly asking for €24m plus bonuses, or €30m, with €15m up-front, while Juve are offering €15m, plus €9m in bonuses.

On a side note, German outlet Bild asked Draxler after the weekend draw with Darmstadt, in which he scored, if he’d be staying.

The 21-year-old responded saying he couldn’t talk, as he had to rush off to celebrate his brother’s birthday.

However, Bild notes that Patrick Draxler was actually born in November, leading to questions over why his brother refused to commit to Schalke.
