Draxler has yet to have a season like Dybala had last year

+ hes injured
These are his previous seasons numbers:

11/12: 18yrs - 46Games:5G,9A first full season with first team
12/13: 19yrs - 39Games:13G,7A
13/14: 20yrs - 38Games:6G,10A

And he is a midfielder, not attacker. That's three really effective seasons as a teen basically. Comparable to Dybala's single one.

Its fair to say both Draxler and Dybala are interesting players, and no one can argue what they've done.

The only thing that speaks against Draxler, is his uncertainty because of past injury

The big issue is that no one knows nothing, but everyone gets riled up on some media quotes

I'm sticking to GDM for now, but -OTM has lost his faith tho

    after this

one would expect you to name the actual season thats on par with the one Dybala had last year, but...

Draxler has CL experience (as in he has actually played games in Europe, been effective, and scored goals) and has been playing regularly in the Bundesliga, in addition to representing his country. One $#@!ing injury doesn't negate all that.

Disclaimer: He is currently NOT Injured!
...all you did was bring up the usual talk,. played in CL, plays regularly in BL, plays for his country.... i already know all that but thanks for the info nonetheless

*should have said was injured/injury prone, my mistake

this is how you do it B81, but i still dont see a season on the level Dybala had last year. keep in mind that few of the goals/assists came against EL group stage fodder (Helsinki, Lamaca) or in DFB Pokal early stages vs amateur teams, but thats less important here.

also, hes an Attacking midfielder/winger, while Dybala is a second striker/winger/attacking mid. the difference is not as big as midfielder-attacker

No, but Dybala was the CF of Palermo, one with alot of freedom and roaming, but he was the center focus of the attack for Palermo, and expected to score most of the goals besides creating.

Draxler played majority of those game as winger, half a season as central AM. He was not the focus of the attack, nor is he a forward. He was still deadly enough mainly with his impeccable shooting ability and direct runs, to score 13 goals as a 19 year old, and later on hit 10 assists when he became more of a winger.

So in essence, he has had the kind of season Dybala has had as 22 year old, difference is Draxler did it at a younger age and in a different position.

Btw, its clear to me Dybala is the more gifted player, but just making clear you shouldnt underrate what Draxler did as 18-20 year old. Especially in CL too at that age.

im not underrating Draxler, i wanted him this whole time and still hope we sign him. the kind of season Dybala had last season, not only the superior goal/assist number in less games, but carrying that team basically on his own, that i have yet to see from Draxler (though to be fair, Draxler played for a bigger club)
and no, 2 seasons, one with 13 goals, one with 10 assists in more games, in all competitions, are not the same as Dybalas. Dybala is still 21 for the record ;)

but before this becomes a Dybala vs Draxler debate - my point from the beginning was: Draxler has yet to play a season like Dybala last year + his injury issues, which was an answer to people attacking Beppe for failing to sign Draxler, while saying he paid 40M for Dybala.

forgot something, Draxler would have 4.5M wages (?), another point why paying 40M for him and 40M for Dybala is a lot different

not underrating Draxler here, there is not much young players that can pull that kind of season off, but not paying more than 35M for him is justified
