Exactly, which makes this transfer really sketchy for us. Why do we want a player who would have a very important role in our squad if we don't have full trust in his fitness?
How can you ask such a silly question after winning four titles in a row and reaching a CL final?

Who else could we realistically be after given the other suggested targets in that role? This guy would be a high potential prospect opportunity signing we normally go after/thrive on.
No idea, but then it's not my job to find out. I can name lots of AM players, but I've really no idea if they are available or fit the team.

The plus side to targeting young players is the room for growth and potential to be really top class, but we already have a lot of young players in attack and it has to be someone of an already high level to be even worth going forward with. Either that or we'll get an experienced player of a high level (not world class or whatever you want to call it) as more of a ready-made option.

I think that Juve are somehow trying to make this a win -win situation for them, or at least mitigate the losses as much as possible for bookeeping purposes.

An 18 million euro failure could be easier to write off than a 27 million euro failure. The only thing that I can think of is that it has to do with the books.

I mean, that must solely be the reason, but it would still royally fuck us if we had to pan out a season with the 352 or have Pereyra as our only AM. This transfer really does nit add up, especially with the way we are handling it. We like the player but we don't trust his fitness and this is not a player who would be sitting on the bench. He is actually very important to our formation.

He, or any other AM is the key to what Allegri is trying to do.

Maybe if I step back and take my personal feelings about Draxler out of the equation, I can get a better grasp of what is trying to take place. The only thing that keeps crossing my mind is an attempt at a win-win situation for Juve and possibly for Schalke. But if the other party doesn't want to conduct business that way, then nothing will come of it.

Who can blame them though? We should be looking elsewhere if we have serious issues about the guy. If we get him for 18M and he misses most of the season, we are still fucked. Maybe not financially, but sporting wise for sure. It does not make sense

I don't see whats so complicated about our offer. We see an opportunity with some risk, we value that risk at 9m bonus, and we offer a deal accordingly. That is the reason why players with injury history are valued at lesser price than fit players. That doesn't mean we think he will be injured, but it means there is a chance of that happening, and that is why we are offering that kind of a deal.

this is the 3rd time you ask a similar question even after i answered you once. i think you somehow forgot what i once said to you, so im gonna give you a summary once more. Draxler was meant to be an investment for the future. he would improve our team right away clearly, but he wont be the one to make the difference between a scudetto and 2nd place, a CL final and an early exit. the team can stay competitive without Draxler for the next season easily, but having Draxler on the long run, considering he stays out of injuries, would benefit this team greatly.

and yes, we dont have full trust in his fitness, thats why the bonuses are important. if he stays healthy, we pay 30M+ considering he is worth that (if healthy). if he is injured for a great amount of time during his contract, the bonuses dont kick in, we spend a total of 18-20M on him, and still can sell him for 10-15M after 2-3 seasons which wont bring us a financial loss on him.
