Even I was not going to complain about bringing Giovinco back. And i really hated the shit he pulled.

But 15 goals and 11 assists ? Thats just impressive, and there are bitter few arguments against bringing such a player back to juventus.

We need this guy in my opinion. We need a attacking midfielder and need to essentially get a starting caliber player in return for the money we got for Vidal. If we get him I will trust the club and say it was a good mercato. Morata and Pereyra proved me wrong.

    :agree:

We're going to need time to gel and start firing on all cylinders. An easy group would be a godsend.

we had easy groups in last two years and we failed first, and barely qualified second.

how about we actually get quality players so we dont have to worry about easy or touhg groups? but such thinking is impossible for marotta backers

I usually make a point of juve performing good against perceived good opponents, and bad against perceived weak opponents.

But with this new group, we need easy opponents cause we wont have gelled, and plenty will be motivated anywau

Shit at this point, I'd take Davy Klaasen over Draxler, Cheaper, Proven leader and player at ajax, and according to the dutch members here, just as good. We miss out on Eriksen when he was cheaper and 20 million less that what he worth now.

They don't behave in a professional manner.First of all they said that the negotiations are over and forbid us to talk with the player. Now,suddenly we have to buy him up to Sunday.Their official explanation about this is that they will present the squad for the next season in Sunday so they want to know if they will put Draxler also or not. They can go a fuck themselves or try to ask for some real world money ,not just repeath,30 millions,30 millions etc. They won't get a dime from us if they act in that manner.
As the selling club, they can hold for the maximum they can get. When Juve offer the right about, they will accept, until then Schalke will say 30 million. Nothing unprofessional about it, it's called business.

 Exactly. Some people are like that little kid at the candy store; spoiled little brats. Schalke have to sell to us on our terms, because we are fucking Juventus

They are looking out for their best interests, and it is their right to do so. Just cuz some teams open wide and take it up the A Hole as soon as they see the first offer come along, doesn't mean Schalke have to do so.

Excellent post. I'm in agreement with pretty much everything here. I suppose I've been considering mostly the individual pieces in attack this year, rather than the potential of how they will do playing together. Tevez-Morata was amazingly effective. I think in terms of individual pieces: Morata, Mandzukic, Dybala, Zaza, Coman is stronger and has far better depth than Tevez, Morata, Llorente, Matri, Coman. Especially with Morata and Coman having a year more experience. But it's figuring out how to fit them together in one attack to play effectively where as things stand out attack is "considerably" weaker. It's hard to say how well Morata-Dybala-Mandzukic will play together, and if we get an AM like Draxler what exactly we do with our forwards. It could surprise us, but as things stand, weaker like you say.
Yes, to sumarize it, it's not about the quality of the replacements. The new guys are quality, definitely.

What lingers here is how the chemistry will work out between these guys. IMO a partnership Dybala - Morata upfront could be lethal. The way Mandzukic afects the positioning of these 2 guys and how they will work together is the defining factor of the season IMO.

That's why it's not really fair to judge a signing when we already know the outcome. Gotta go back to the transfer date and recall the context.

I remember that when Marotta signed Giovinco, I was on the fence. Wasn't a fan of him; but wasn't against his signing. He just had a great league. Inter was on our backs and just the thought we could lose on him and he could explode at Inter was disgusting.

Actually Giovinco had enough quality to be a decent rotation player for us. His problem is the same as Isla: they are not very smart on the pitch, decision making is very poor, and mainly, they lack the confidence to succeed at a club like Juventus.

Marotta did slightly overpay for him (like for many of the guys he signs from smaller Italian teams, mainly the ones who half was sold already) and this was a bit annoying as it was a recurrence when Marotta did business in Italy.

But all in all, can't criticise Marotta here. It was a decent bet, just didn't work out. The same as with Isla.

imo, all signs seem to point that Draxler is pushing for a move here. First Schalke told us not to bother them anymore, and now they did a 180 and want our final offer by sunday. Something is going on for sure. I think a deal worth 25-28 million seals it.

This Draxler is pushing for a move nonsense is an invention of the Italian media. He never said anything about wanting to leave to Juve..not a single word came out of his mouth regarding that topic. Its simple BS, as he would do nothing to force a move. A few days ago, he was voted into the team council..do u think his teammates would have voted for him, if he would look negative, desinterested and pushing for a move?

Also, with whom r Juve talking to? I read somewhere here, that it is president Tönnies now negotiating behind Heldt's back  The same Tönnies, who reportedly called from his vacation to tell Heldt to shut down this rumour once and for all. They dont wanna sell Draxler, just a huge offer, that meets the buyout clause would have made them think about it.

Heldt couldnt have been more clear and thats not a strategy or a poker, this story is over. Its dead and u dont hear a single word of it in Germany anymore.
