Is Draxler even an authentic AM? He seems like a winger to me, the sort of player who would directly contest with Coman.

If you include one of these players in the line up it seems likely that one of Dybala, Morata or Mandzukic would not play in it, whereas together they could.

Vidal? 50-40m. Selling for less than 40m would be a garbage deal. 40m is the minimum to me and it seems we'll get that sum. I'm still very undecided whether we're doing a good thing though. If Vidal wanted to leave and pushed for it then yeah. If he wanted to stay I wouldn't call it so good.

i think it´s somewhere inbetween. obviously we weren´t happy with his drunk shit (again!) and he was far from his best over the last two season but i don´t think that we really pushed him out.
imo a big part of the problem was his contract. it wasn´t only about him staying or leaving. if he stayed, he would have had to sign a new contract because we can´t risk to pull a dortmund.
now when i look at the bayern figures, 6.5m after tax over 5 years (he will be 33+ at the end of the contract), i can fully understand that we sold him. bayern can easily take that risk, we can´t.
obviously that is just my opinion/my guess what might have been going on.

Stupid money fro Sandro is how much to you? I could see us giving 15-18m tbh.

i don´t know. for a LB with 1 year of his contract left 20m already looks pretty steep. so i guess 25m+ should definately count as stupid money .
tbf i don´t really know which other clubs (apart from atletico) are involved but i kinda doubt that a highly rated, flashy brazilian, who is playing in a position where supply is short, isn´t going to attract several rich buyers...

Isnt getting Draxler is like saying we dont believe in you to Coman?!
Gotze is something else as he is a more established player
Also Draxler`s stats are far from amazing..

Before his injury his stats were almost the same as Gotze's...
Both were great talents who did amazing in the youth teams ages 15-17,both first played in Bundesliga at 17.
Had similar stats for first 2 seasons,then Draxler was injured and Gotze continued to do great,he's 1.5 year older as well so he played more than Draxler,and for better teams,better players around him.

The only major gamble is his injury that had him out for a year+ in total,he had like 6-7 games in which he took part (50-70) minutes a game before the end of the season last year.
So we can't really tell if he got ove it or not.

Of course Gotze is better NOW imo.
But Draxler could be THAT good if his injury is completely gone and he regains his form IMO.

Well we already paid €32m + €8m for a player in a similar situation, although obviously this was a player we really wanted, who we consider a long term champion, and who can settle right into the squad.

Knowing the way we operate Alex Sandro will arrive only as an 'opportunity', i.e. for some kind of discounted price.

dybala seems like a really special case i don´t think that we will see a lot of transfers like that in the near future .
i also fully agree about sandro. he will arrive as an opportunity or he won´t arrive at all.
and when i´m looking at today´s market, i really can´t see him become an opportunity, as filthy rich clubs will probably overpay happily.

If we get Draxler, hopefully we move toward a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Because Draxler is not a Trequartista, he's a winger and doesn't have to necessary vision to play as an AM.

Either play 4-3-3 with Dybala, Drexler and Morata as the front three or i will be tempted to play a 4-2-3-1.

Why should we push players into unfamiliar positions for the sake of playing a formation? Pogba isnt a cam and if anything we'd play either a 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2 with draxler behind the forwards

But he played quite alot as an AM...he's tracking back alot and have nice passing and chance creating rate.

Like i said i don't consider Draxler a Trequartista, so IMO we should either be playing a 4-3-3 wish similar to a 4-3-2-1 or push Pogba a little higher and play the formation that i mentionned before, it would allow us to ensure more cover for our defence with Both Marchisio and Khedira playing as holding MF, give Pogba more freedom and allow us more pressing something we will loose with Vidal absence.
