Did I see someone say he doesn't want David Silva at Juve?

God, sometimes I don't understand this place. Fapping to Oscar, Draxler. But no, they don't want David Silva :disagree:

We need a worldclass impact player to replace a worldclass impact player.
IDGAF if Draxler is a fetus who will stay with us for 5000 more years.
It matters that when we face Manchester United or Bayern in CL 1/8 next year we'll run 3 kiddies upfront who'll crap their pants at the sight of Vidal or Schweinsteiger.

i think it´s somewhere inbetween. obviously we weren´t happy with his drunk $#@! (again!) and he was far from his best over the last two season but i don´t think that we really pushed him out.
imo a big part of the problem was his contract. it wasn´t only about him staying or leaving. if he stayed, he would have had to sign a new contract because we can´t risk to pull a dortmund.
now when i look at the bayern figures, 6.5m after tax over 5 years (he will be 33+ at the end of the contract), i can fully understand that we sold him. bayern can easily take that risk, we can´t.
obviously that is just my opinion/my guess what might have been going on.

i don´t know. for a LB with 1 year of his contract left 20m already looks pretty steep. so i guess 25m+ should definately count as stupid money :).
tbf i don´t really know which other clubs (apart from atletico) are involved but i kinda doubt that a highly rated, flashy brazilian, who is playing in a position where supply is short, isn´t going to attract several rich buyers...
Well at first I took the Vidal news pretty badly but in the end I was right it's not too smart to attach yourself as a fan to foreign players :p Italians are a much safer bet :D
For that reason I think Beppe won't bring in Gotze. Many will criticize him for that but I actually won't. It's an (almost) mission impossible to take away a German top class player from the best German club that it seems don't want to sell. That's why Draxler looks like an easier target to me.

As for Sandro - we did this with Dybala. I think we could do the same here simply because Vidal is going out and we'll most probably replace him with Asamoah in the middle, so Sandro would make perfect sense.

My prediction is that if we are able to lock down Draxler for a fee not higher than 30m we'll be able to buy Sandro too. Llorente is about to be sold too and we either get some decent cash from Madrid or we include him in Sandro's deal if the 'journalists' are to be believed :D

Everyone here is calling for a player who will be the difference, and not the difference for 2-3 seasons. Maybe David Silva would be a good buy at your club, but at Juve we are obviously trying to start a new cycle. We need a younger player that will be the difference more many more years, not a short term gap option.

Draxler has more experience than Dybala and they are only a year difference. Plus look at the core of our team, they all have even experience

There's no question here - if we can get Götze we should. Only if we fail to get Götze we should get Draxler.
And that's exactly the way it's going. Notice how we were linked to Gotze these past few days with Draxler being mentioned as alternative. Now it's the other way round which means we didn't convince Bayern or Gotze. It's taking too long with Gotze now so we're moving onto next target it seems.

Problem is look at this scenario, would u rather Gotze to come here for 2 years with 6m+ wages or Draxler for more than 2 years and on lower wages?
Götze is a proven world class player at 23 years. Draxler still has a long way becoming that. You can't compare the two as of right now.
If you take FM into this I can describe my thoughts on the PA/CA scale. They have similar potential abilities, yet Götze is way ahead in current abilities. If we're to assign a player the #10 it better be a player with current abilities close to world class ~180/200. Makes sense? :D

but at least he would make the difference! and if only for 3 years....
Why do we need a difference maker for only 3 years?

Look at our purchases

Dybala-21
Sturaro-22
Rugani-20
Coman-19
Zaza-24

We are trying to turn a page in the book, and invest in youth and hope that we build the team that way instead of looking for short term replacements

We deluded ourselves after last season.

It's an end of a cycle. We can't replace top players with top players because of our finances. We needed a shakeup and we're doing alright getting young talented players on board.

But if you ppl think we'll get top players on big wages and transfer fees, then by all means continue deluding yourselves thinking we can spend money like Real or Bayern.

It's not my problem.

Who gives a $#@! about wages? It's not like you're going to pay them.
Ok but u totally ignored the fact that if Gotze came it wouldnt necessarily mean he'd be playing with us for more than 2 years

morata has played in two cl finals and has faced clubs like real, barca etc. several times.
draxler has 25 cl games to his name including games against inter (the year after they won it all), man utd, chelsea, real madrid...
i agree that we are taking a risk but you are really struggling to make your point here.
