Klin has sunk back into the depths of depression.

Once the season starts and the genius of Beppe is proven once more, his spirits will rise. He shall become a good lad once more.

Only Badass and Cronios will remain in meltdown mode. We could win CL this coming year, and they'll still be in meltdown mode.

Speaking of the CL, I dreamt that we reached the final once again this year, and actually won it this time, emphatically defeating Bayern/Barca (not sure, that wasn't evident in my dream) 3-0 in the process.

but you are contradicting yourself, if threads as you say are not be mainly a news source(which i disagree with btw) but rather psychological relief why you down the closure angle? seems to me it's healthier to seek closure than to wallow in pretty obvious delusion.
I feel it's a news source, but an indirect social one at that. It's buyer beware. And as mentioned, there are other, better resources for that.

By commiserating I include all forms of discourse - whether "not a chance in hell" to "so you're telling me I've still got a chance". Not just emotional crutches.

All transfer discussions are a matter of percentages anyway. They are like Schrödinger's cat: both dead and alive simultaneously until proof either closes the thread or creates a player thread. I'm not much of a fan of mods siding with a bet that the cat is dead until we can open that box. Because "the player is not for sale" can both be a club's closure or a price negotiation tactic.

there is just no defending that move, none what so ever we got fucked and you know it no shame in admitting it. Now we are even more fucked especially if we can't even sign draxler what does that tell you?
Playing Vidal at AM was the worst thing for both parties and I don't think you can possibly see that. You don't even try.

We made it fine playing Vidal as an AM when he isn't even an AM. Hell we almost won a treble playing him out of position.

And now, we didn't get fucked and we aren't fucked. I should have known the person that would take this the worst would have been you. In fact, we survived an entire season with a "meh" Vidal.

Which shouldn't surprise anyone.

That's because a meh Vidal is still pretty fucking good and be wasn't your traditional AM for us last season, so he still provided very good defensive cover.

I am just waiting to hear the excuses if we fail to secure an AM and LB before the mercato is up. Some people will still come out and defend the management and claim that the mercato was a success, and that we did all we could given the circumstances :howler:

Yes a meh Vidal is still pretty good but the point is we survived easily without him at his best. And we will do so again. Come to think of it, we had our best season on record for a very long time without the Vidal we knew from over a year ago.

And if we win another league title and do well in the CL I can't wait to hear your excuse.

I guess we will all be waiting for this time next year, huh?

Isn't any mercato a success or did I miss something?

they will claim that nothing can be done to outbid epl teams and that juventus has no money.

except to sign players on last year of contracts for 40m and 3rd choice CF for 18m.

but remember, no money*

*unless you play in serie a for midtable teams

Yes, any mercato is a success. Fucking impeccable logic. When you fail to address your weaknesses, and secure players in positions your coach publicly asked for in a press conference, then by all means, the mercato is a fantastic success.

Define do well in the CL? If we get eliminated before the quarters, then the entire season is a disappointment in my book, even if we win the fucking Serie A.

I'm actually quite content with our mercato. I mean, we all do understand we can't win forever, right? Eventually another team will win the league and it won't be us.

Cronios?

Allegri has asked for more than an AM and no coach gets everything he wants unless you are a "tier 1" club, right?

Remember...apparently we are only a "tier 2" and for that unique position we find ourselves in we are doing wonders thank you very much.

Good for you then

I'd love me some of that delusional optimism juice. I hear it worked wonders for others as well :D
So you think we will win every single year? And I'm the delusional one?

in previous seasons, i made the mistake of telling everyone that llorente, krasic, diego and ferara as a coach will be flops before the seasons began. and i was ridiculed for it. but eventually i turned out to be right and everyone understood what handsome fortune predicting champ i am.

so for now i will hold off on saying what i think about dybala and khedira until january and hope to god they prove me wrong

We all fall pray to individual decisions but I think more in the big picture as in all the pieces of the puzzle and how they will fit together over the course of the entire season. Much to popular belief I'm sure, I don;t think every signing we have will be a success rather I see the potential and try to focus on the "why" the club signed them rather then infamous "fee" people are going on and on about.

- - - Updated - - -

I've noticed the negative people here tend to focus on the ONE move they really don't agree with and that sets the pace for everything else beyond that move. Suddenly everything else must be questioned endlessly as if there is some retarded motive the club has. You know, like some seem to think its only a money maker for the evil owners...a "pet project". Doesn't matter how many times we win, how far we make it in whatever trophy ambition we have the same people come back to complain.

It's one thing to debate and question logically but some take it to such a level its almost laughable. Very little middle ground as we all know. My biggest issue with Marotta is always and will always be his selling ability. This year seems to be doing better but that's his weakness. As far as adding new players I trust he & Paratici 100% and if that makes me an overly annoying optimistic delusional fool then that's exactly what I am.
