right now signing saponara would be a miracle, but when you have the likes of gotze and draxler deals on stall you know the options only get worse from here on in

I'm the jinx? dude it was only the other week you gave a rating of 10/10 calling it our best ever mercato

Sign no one then. Better to not annoy more fans with sub par signings after selling Vidal, than signing someone just for teh sake of it...

Who are we putting down, though? The people here upset? Marotta? Who?
Do you still think we have any chance of getting Draxler? We have been in talks with Schalke for 10 days or so, terms agreed with the player and suddenly they slam the door in our faces like that?

I find it hard to believe that Schalke allowed beppe to talk to draxler without agreeing on some rough numbers about the transfer before hand.

I am not a big fan of Draxler, but quite frankly, therent much options out there. At the very least we should have dragged on Vidal transfer a little longer until we had our AM in the pocket.

Given our negotiating position, it is gonna be hard to get a good AM for any amount below 30M. Realistically, in todays market, a top established AM would easily cost north of 40M. We have the funds but who is available?. That leave us with the options of unproven players with potential (Draxler) or unhappy players (Gotze). However teams know we are in the market looking for a AM and that we have fresh funds from vidals sale. Demand and supply. Which probably means we will end up overpaying if we get an AM.

If anything I would be just as annoyed because it shows how short sighted and ill prepared the board were in selling arguably their best player for cheap. We should never have let Vidal go this easily without a firm plan in place. I fail to see any real opportunities in terms of a big name, but tbh I would really like someone like Charles Aranguiz as I see him as someone who will be massive in a few years

Well even after the kind of tomfoolery Marotta demonstrated yesterday with that offer (which I still fail to see the logic behind it, with Juve being in dire need of wrapping the deal for an AM as soon as possible, in order to let Allegri figure out what's he gonna do with his attack), it still seems likely that Schalke will most probably let this cool off for a coupla weeks (so that they don't look like total dunces) and let Juve resume negotiations.

Not sure. JuveJay brought up a good point about when they sold Neuer. Could be a bluff call from Schalke. Let's see what Marotta does in return if he does anything at all.

Personally I wouldn't want to spend 30m on a player that could have an injury issue ala Jovetic. If we pay any requested player fee it should be for Goetze.

We have yet to sell Llorente & Isla to give us additional funds as well so we have what, a little more than a month to settle things?

I like having fans of other clubs post here but not this arrogant guy that shoots down every little thing he hears about Juve/Italian links to Bundesliga. Its very annoying.

Now here he is,bragging about how he was right all the time.I mean seriously GTFO to some BL forum if you cant keep it civil here and if you're unable to be respectful towards Juventus and its fans.
I AGREE WITH THE CUSP @Hustini

and it was not easy to admit that...:D

Yea at this point whether it be lamela, saponara, vasquez, mkhitrayian, lavezzi, and cuadrado are probably the only so called "opportunities"
The other category of 'market opportunities' would come up very late in the mercato and would be on the basis of certain clubs failing to qualify for the CL and that causing players to become available.
