i didnt saw good understanding between villareal strikers, forlan and that franco didnt play well together, both just run around and waited balls from riquelme who didnt make many good passes tonigh, i can see him being good holding the ball.

And when i watched the game, i asked myself, what is villareal missing, because they defenetly where missing something.

Also jem, you cant say villareal really played well, first half reminded me capello and his tactics, villareal had to score a goal, but they didnt make many shots on goal and arsenal seemed to control midfield with fabregas, second half they played a bit better but still they where not that good.

Bullshit. Villarreal controlled the game because Arsenal let them not because Pellegrini is some sort of tactical genius. Arsenal sat back and allowed Villarreal to boss the game possession wise and still they only created about three clear cut chances.

As for your player analysis, you're underrating the Villarreal players. Forlan was starved of good service and missed one good chance. Josico was solid tonight and is a solid player. Marcos Senna is one of the best midfielders in La Liga and had a good game tonight.
100% agree!!!
And btw senna were linked to Juve last season

Imagine Juventus next season with Zlatan, Riquelme and C. Ronaldo, just by typing these three together I got a headache.

No no, he's still technically gifted.

But I'm just suggesting that he is as good as he is at the moment because of Pellegrini.

He was still the same man with those very same legs with that very same technique when he was at Barcelona, but they couldn't bring it out of him.

Pellegrini, seemingly, is able to.
That's a reasonable statement but I believe that Riquelme's success at Villarreal is down to the environment and the players around him, which I guess Pellegrini has a part to play in, so yes, credit to Pellegrini, but not full credit.

I did not say anything about the miss, if you go back and see my reply after the first game against Arsenal, you'll see that even back then I did not want him.

I know you didnt, but its like no one is good enough for Juve the way you go at it at times. Ive watched him play and i'll definately have him at Juve, but not at his price tag.

So Jeeks me old fruit, Who are the players if you were in charge would you personally go for exactly?

- And the likes of Emerson and Vieira are lightning quick, right? With his technique and vision he doesn't need to be as quick as Henry.
- The verdict is still out on this one IMO. I've seen him play very well against Barcelona and Brazil, and it isn't easy to perform when you're being double teamed constantly.
- He missed a penalty, so what? Ronaldinho, Henry, Baggio, Shevchenko, Del Piero and many others have missed penalties before and as long as football exists great players will miss penalties.

I'm not saying that I want Roman at Juve but to say that he isn't good enough for us is ridiculous. If anything say that his style of play doesn't suit us but Riquelme is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world so of course he's good enough for a team like Juve who can't keep the ball in the middle third of the pitch against half-decent opposition.
I just think that in our current system he wouldn't cut it. Some people think he's God here and I pointed out his weaknesses. Even if we played with a fantasista I don't see us changing to whole team to play for him.

I would love Van Bommel in the team.

thats the problem with him, we could build the team around him, but what would happen if it wouldnt be his night, our whole game would be f--ked up, we would rely on him too much. And think if he would be injured. And his not very fast either.

No, he wouldn't fit in our current system but our current system is shit so I'm all for a change. Btw, I don't want Riquelme at Juve as I don't think his style suits us and as you said, we're not going to alter our way of doing things just for one player, but I still think he's a fine player.

In the AMC department I'm hoping for Sneijder or Rosicky.

I didn't see that Sneijder guy play that much so I can't make a judgement on him. I hear good things about him though. He's a versatile player right? His contract was up and I think he re-signed with Ajax or am I wrong?

I dont know what match you guys were watching but I was impressed with this guy, he doesnt deserve to be at a club like villareal, he managed to put up with some of arsenals midfield strength and TBH he wasnt to be blamed for the penalty he was unlucky it was a good save by lehman. I said it before I will say it again he is exactly what we need. He also threaded through some decent balls he made some space and actually ran at the defense too but lets face it he was facing a torrid arsenal team who were stubborn. The match was dominated by villareal and I feel sorry for them.

I'm not sure what the situation with Sneijder's contract is, but yeah, he's a versatile player. He's primarily a central midfielder but he can play on either flank if necessary. He's also good with both feet and useful from set pieces. He's a good passer and knows how to find the back of the net. He scored a stunning goal earlier this season in the CL and hits them from range with real venom.

He releases the ball pretty fast from his feet and he's a long distance shooter.
