30m? 33m? We definitely should not do it, lol. The kid is worth 15-20m tops. I could live with 20m + Quag or just 23m we offered but 30m? I want the kid here but Verona just went full retard.

Shaqiri it is then. Liverpool is bidding something between 15-20m for him. Do it Beppe.
With the Suarez money they're getting, knowing Liverpool, they'd make an inflated offer for Shaqiri and sadly i dont think we can compete with that.

Yeah that's a big obstacle. Marotta should try nonetheless. We can offer him decent wages, CL and pretty much a starting 11 spot. It definitely won't be easy, we're underdogs in this deal but as much as I want Iturbe here the prices mentioned for him lately are just retarded.

What about Markovic from Benfica? He looks very promising and won't be cheap that's for sure :/

Marotta should not. We have made it clear we seek to purchase young upcomming players, and Shaqiri is an established top player. We cant afford those.
The thing is if Verona doesn't lower their demand then between Shaqiri and Iturbe there won't be a big difference. Shaqir's fee could be lower than Iturbe's but his wages would be a bit higher.

We're all speculating here but if Iturbe costs 30m + 1.5m wages for 5 years it gives you 37.5m. If Shaqiri costs 25m (rumored price for Liverpool is 20m atm) and his wages would be 3m it gives you 40m. Salaries are of course net. After tax it would be worse but it's up to management to decide. I don't think we'll find agreement with Verona and we'll have to look elsewhere. Be it Shaqiri or someone else it doesn't look like we're getting Iturbe.

I mean, come on! At least GDM can look better and give names like Thauvin, even Farfan as alternatives but he come sup with Griezmann. Even if I dream of us getting him, deep down I know we have close to 0 chances of seeing him in a Juve jersey. + milan have to changed ¾ of the roster FFS!

so it is 10%.

Chirico who knows nothing about the mercato and stuff thinks it's a game by meelan and Verona to f*ck us up or something like that. Verona's GM could potentially go to meelan in a not so distant future so they might be concocting something to drive the price up so they get the most from Juve or just have us get pissed and drop out while meelan get him in the end for less. :boh:
Don't lose hope man .....but i swear the market these day....we can't even compete for an upcoming talents like Griezman or Shaqiri

At 70% turnover to wages, its a massive difference tbh
Unfortunately it's true but so far Marotta is doing well with offloading players. The biggest one of the unwanted: Vucinic is gone. Offloading Quagliarella is very important too. Peluso didn't earn that much bu it's always some cash saved. Marotta still has many players to offload, long summer ahead of him.

yep. what we should forget when talking about wages are the contract renewals.
especially pogba will get a rise (like quadruple?) and licht, chiellini, probably giovinco will also earn more than before.

btw: just because shaqiri has been mentioned several times and some in here seem to love stats:
shaqiri earns around 2.5-3.2m + bonuses before taxes.

shaqiri: 10 goals, 8 assists in 2156min at probably the most dominant bundesliga squad of all times
iturbe: 8 goals, 5 assists in 2496 at newly promoted verona

I'm still hoping for Verona to break because it's the most realistic deal out of all wingers we were connected with.

Wow Shaqiri earns quite a lot then I didn't know he already gets around 3m. Forget the maths I did in the post above then. It makes no sense.

i want him here, even for 30m. I think he'll do well.. He's only born 93 and there are not many options out there. I believe he can grow into a great offensive player for us.
