So people say Iturbe is overrated because he only scored 8 goals but now suddenly badass comes up with this Markovic guy who has 5 goals in the mighty portugese league.

when have i ever criticised iturbe for his lack of goals? given that he is some what talented he is not exactly in the same bracket at the likes of Pogba and Varane in terms of potential talent, one good season in Europe in his entire career, not even a full international nor has any/much european cup competition experience does not warrant a price tag as excessive as 30 mill. 15-20 mill max i'm fine with that but anything beyond that serves no justification, none what so ever, might as well sell berardi for a similar figure if this is to be the case

Of course Verona is not used to this kind of transfers and can't handle this. They're playing hardball with Marotta, like if he's a guy that gets convinced to spend big sums with time. B-lan can't afford half of that shit, leave them out, really. There are not other teams behind this midget kid, therefore they shouldn't be so ridiculously rigid on this transfer.

Believe me, in late August they'll be begging for 20m and, if we didn't buy someone else before (unlikely) we'll get him for cheaper, if the player does not complain before (dunno if he's the kind of guy to do that, or has this kind of agent). Even worse, they might think that before or later someone from abroad can come knocking at the door and splash those 30m , but that won't happen, Iturbe still has not that reputation. You can easily understand that Iturbe's value AT VERONA has reached his peak this summer, and they have not many offers. Ridiculous managing of the situation by them.

Verona paid 15 mil for the guy, what happens if they can't sell him this summer and they were relegated next season (big possibility) ?

They'll get screwed and we'll sell him anyways even for a loss. Our guys should be smart enough to play that card. I'm pretty sure Verona management knows this and they'll rush into selling him if no one comes along and offer them a better deal than ours (very likely no one will do).

20-22 mil max for this guy, if they don't accept just move on to other targets, that's how we should play it.

i'd let them boil over our offer, as you said there isn't anyone that is either remotely interested or willing to pay the asking fee. call verona's bluff and drive the price down
