I'm a little confused by this move being priority unless we are also still in the market for an AM, coz I can't see us do away with the 4312 as a primary formation. Also, I feel the 433 will suit Mandzukic in the centre more than it would Morata, which again I'm not so sure about. And I wouldn't like Morata to be deployed wide in case of a 433 to give him the width for his runs against defenses.

As far as Cuadardo goes, I feel like he's in the same sphere as Coman but with a lower ceiling. And I'd much rather we develop our own talent and spend our resources on the kind of players who fit us better in terms of tactics and temperament alike.

Cuadrado can play on the left and right so if we get him we would probably play 4-3-3.

    4-3-3
    GK Buffon | Neto
    RB Lichtsteiner | Caceres
    CB Bonucci | Barzagli
    CB Chiellini | Rugani
    LB Evra | Asamoah
    CM Vidal | Khedira
    CM Marchisio | Padoin
    CM Pogba | Sturaro
    RW Dybala | Pereyra
CF Morata | Mandzukic | Zaza
    LW Cuadrado | Coman

    4-3-1-2
    AM Vidal | Pereyra
    SS Dybala | Coman
    CF Morata | Mandzukic

Also can play Morata at SS

No we arent going back to a back 3
    Conte's dream all along :touched:

Thing is besides coman we dont have a winger . Cuadrado is no attacking midfielder and dybala and morata are not wide players. It doesnt make sense to me.
I don't much like Cuadrado as an AM, but correct me I'f I'm wrong, isn't that where we played for the last season/season and a half at Viola? He is obviously a RW by trade tho.

I know man, just joking :D

But you're right about getting cuadrado not making any sense. Even if we buy another winger for the opposite flank, there are limited options on the bench,.Only Coman could play naturally on the wings. Would have made some sense if Berardi came.

Oh and Pepe's gone, so no 433.

Maybe the idea is we see which of our attackers can stake a claim in the Starting XI and work from that, instead of assuming certain players will be in pre-determined squad roles. So having a versatile attack full of different players could be great.

If a 10 is signed, then Allegri would use the 4-3-1-2. But if a winger is signed, a 4-3-3 similar to Lippi's with one winger sitting further back. So maybe Dybala and Cuadrado would battle for that spot.

jus over a year ago peeps were fapping themselves crazy over cuardrado..and now?

i think if the management is targetting him then there are reasons that of course we may not be privy to. pretty sure allegri's working intimately with those charged with bringing in players. So im thinking allegri knows who he wants and how/where in his multiple tactical setups they can play a part.

Signing cuadrado would just be about giving us options, there's no reason he couldn't play in a front 3. Allegro has pretty much said 4-3-?

And it doesn't have to be a conventional front thre that's symetrical, we could play

    Morata- mandzu- Dybala
    Morata- Mandzu - Cuadrado
    Morata - AMC - Mandzu/dybala

I think we're thinking about things in comparison to this year, Allegraihad said it'll be impossible to go like for like with losing irreplaceable players like tevez and pirlo, so I'm all for cuadrado, options wouldn't hurt and the ability to have a player that can attack the flanks too is a good option to have
