Our 2nd best player tonight: 2 crosses, zero goals, zero assists...only 2 key passes.

Only real positive was his 93% passing success rate.

Keep applauding zero productivity from our wings.

Costa gets $#@! on with two assists. Cuadrado praised with nothing
Seriously now, you cant just judge a player only by his stats, assist or no assist the guy had a great game and deserves praise for his performance, at times Milan were really coming at us and Cuadrado with his 'inneficiency' managed to hold the ball, dribble and even run past players to start counter-atacks whyle most of our team coudnt connect a pass together... let's be honest, the guy was arguably our most active player in key 'under-pressure' moments and made the most of thight spaces keeping possesion and starting atacking plays whyle also being efficient in the defensive phase aswell... i really find it hard to believe you didn't see the huge contribution he gave tonight :shifty:

The guy could be a PK magnet in the opposition box with this speed and trickery, why aren't we seeing him do it more?

I'd say Higuain was our most active player. And I saw a defensive contribution but that's about it. It was a great game defensively from him but not so much offensively. So, again, nothing more than a decent showing today for me.

Weak sauce Cam. Why do you allways do this? Pick a side and stubbornly harp on it no matter what between our players? You used to do it between Vidal and Marchisio for so long (bit spammish then), and now you decided its time for Costa and Cuadrado for this routine?

Just judge it on face value, and tonight Cuadrado had a very good game, you dont pay enough attention in the game if stats is the only thing you look at? Its undeniable he was one of our best today, come on.

If he has poor game, no problem, rotate/bench him, but when he does not, like now, he deserves his props. Especially more so because he is much more of a system/team player then Costa so its pretty clear why Allegri is playing him for now. He combines with others and is only one who tries to find Mandzu with behind the arc crosses.

I don't see the stats until after I watch the game. What is so hard to read in my posts? I said he did well defensively but saw a whole nothing burger offensively.

Your whole first post was weak sauce man, its like it cut you that he had a good game because you are shipping Costa like a little fangirl, they are both Juve players so snap out of this BS approach.

Snap out of critiquing our players? Nah, not gonna happen. Since when does there have to be a unanimous agreement?

It's like players can't be critiqued when we win. Makes sense.

It's almost like you didn't read the rest of my posts on his performance. Let's start with that.

Like I said, he beats his man around the midfield line all the time...but when its one v one on the edge of the box, why aren't we seeing more guts to try and make something happen (we all know he can do it)? Its so easy for him to beat a guy, why doesn't he do it more around the box is what I'm asking? You say there are a lot more to football than statistics, but mention a statistic.

And yes, I do like his ability to draw a foul but is that really something that deserves a "great game" tag?
I would like him to have a go at the defender near the box too, but we often build up so slowly that there isn't as much room than as when he does it in midfield.

I mentioned the statistic because you seemed fixated on them and was using it in the context of our team's tactics which were largely based on playing within our own half and soaking up pressure (not exactly ideal situations to make key passes etc). I don't need it to back up my point, he brought a lot to our game today which won't be shown in statistics (as I mentioned earlier).

You have focused on one point I made (his ability to draw fouls) as the only reason why he had a great game. I gave plenty of reasons, those combined are why people think he had a great game.

And I don’t think he has a great game based off of what I posted. He has one area where he contributed a lot and another he didn’t.

He's so unpredictable I feel like sometimes he even surprises himself with his dribbling.

He's awesome for us though. Clearly better than Costa and Berna.

I don't get people throwing shit at him for last season either. He was really, really good until late February or so. Granted he had a terrible end to the season, but he was putting performances like this last season as well.

There is a lot more to football than statistics. If you are going to focus on them you need to take into account that the tactics today weren't exactly looking to play attacking football and 93% is a pretty high passing average for a winger, especially when he was making a number of passes near our box and under pressure as we were sitting so deep.

He had a very good game. His ability control a slack pass with a defender on him in dangerous areas, or winning a free-kick when we are penned back or keeping calm when we are closed down to pick out Dybala etc. with a good pass allowing us to keep the ball are all huge factors in relieving pressure when the opposition are pressing high and why he is getting praise.

He has improved an unbelievable amount on this side of his game and this is why he is playing the big games.

agree 100%.

Did his job almost perfectly and frustrated Milan.

He is not the most efficient footballer, but has other great traits that are important to us.

Cuadrado is forced to play as a RB, just put him in Lichts place and put Berna or Costa in front.

:howler:

Dybala does nothing defensively yes but Higuan puts in a solid shift when asked too.

Another player who gets disrespected all too often. Cuads control of the ball is so special at times. Maybe some bad decisions at dribbles end, but I'll take that and his ATTITUDE every day day the week.
