This was the first time I've seen Cuadrado playing for us like his Fiorentina days. He absolutely wrecked them with his speed.

More of this please.

It's not about wether or not they will sell him but a question of how much. Juve been in a position to negotiate down the agreed sum for the loan deal due to the struggling squad player role he has with us. It would help even more with the price if the player himself was adamant he only wants Juve and not other prospective buyers.

Marotta: 'Juve want to keep Cuadrado'
By Football Italia staff

Beppe Marotta confirmed Juventus “will try to keep Juan Cuadrado and have a verbal agreement with Chelsea.”

The winger arrived on loan over the summer and has been increasingly pushed to the bench in recent games.

“He is on loan. In tactical terms he is very different to the other players, so it’s only normal he suits us,” director general Marotta told Rai Sport.

“There is a verbal agreement for an option to buy from Chelsea, so we’ll see what happens.

“We are happy with what he’s doing both on and off the field, so certainly he is someone we’ll try to keep in Turin next season too.”

This was definitely his best game playing in our 3-5-2. Thought he worked very hard and was solid defensively, in addition to being a live wire in attack. Really exploited the generous amount of space well -- and it was also helpful that Inter were consistently reckless in the tackle. Really ugly stuff from Inter, which is always fun. :D

I still haven't changed my mind about purchasing him for 20M (will take more than one great game in our 3-5-2 to do that), but he's certainly headed in the right direction. I still don't think he's well suited to playing TQ (quarters would be too tight for this guy), still don't think we want to play him in a 3 man midfield (not disruptive enough defensively, not enough presence, also turns the ball over too much), or as a RB in a back 4 (I think it would totally negate his skill set)... but if he can put in some more solid performances in our 3-5-2, he might just change my mind.

Hopefully he does change my mind, I like this guy's attitude, and when he's on, he's a lot of fun to watch!

Wise words. Agreed.
