He equalised against Fiorentina, he saved us against Torino, he tore Inter apart and he saved us today again. And some people still don't want him. I just don't get that.

Was definitely one of our best amongst an underwhelming group on the day.

Very fortunate to score, but undeniably one of our better players again today. Has played well in the 3-5-2 well of late, definitely a good sign moving forward.

Besides that, Beppe effectively already said we're going to sign the guy, so I'm pretty sure @TheTruth will be able to discontinue his crusade soon.

:p

Yep.

He owns offensively and is actually very responsible hard worker defensively...
His best attribute is his work rate, not dribbling. For me, so far this year he has been great as a RWB. The effort is not a question. And maybe it's because Allegri hasn't used him when we've needed more of a defender there but his defending hasn't been a question either for me.

When you look at his offensive contributions relative to that of a traditional RWB, he's solidly above average. When you take those offensive contributions and contrast them to RWs though, he lags behind.

Agreed.

He has gotten better at playing with others too because its no longer about taking the ball and brainlessly standing around in your own world dribbling in same zone back and forth. He combines with others on occasion and focuses on dribbling when he has an isolated prey around the box.

I'll continue the crusade till the transfer is official. Who knows, maybe Beppe's grandchildren read this forum and will pass on my recommendation :p

There was one moment i found odd, but maybe he was tired.

Near the end, he bursted past a player in the midfield, and i fully expected him to play it far ahead of him down the touchline and go past the second defender as he(cuads) was at full speed and the second defender was standing still.

But he didnt, he cut back and got fouled by the first player

I wonder why he did that.
