It's not so long people here were saying he can't play RB and bashing everyone who talks about the possibility of having him as Our primary RB.

Look how things turnout to be. I would say he is by far the best RB in the world going forward and one of the best if defending is considered.
He had some bad decision making while defending at the beginning in his noew role, but look at him right now The guy is like a wall, doesn't let a single cross from his side , oppositions learned this and don't try to attack from his side anymore. Most of crosses we concede are from our left side.

And it doesn't end here. He is doing Bernardeschi's job too. Scoring, assisting dribbling and play making left and right.

Simply he is up there among best wingbacks and RBs in our history.

Lol it's the only one who search for the striker consistenly... not even the MF do it

Yesterday Juan was amazing
Definitely the most important player for the build up. He had the ball for 7.3% of the possession, the highest of any player on the pitch. Pjanic was at 3.3% but was subbed off a bit after half...still not as much as Cuads if you double it.

I wonder if cuads was an up and coming youngster what the view of him as a rb would be. Seems he gets the shaft on here bc hes a winger or makeshift rb
Actually saw him first as young makeshift RB or wingback in Lecce and Udinese way back (udine played 352). Pacy and tricky but too erratic and undisciplined. He became much much better playing as outright winger in Fiorentina.

I've criticized him plenty over the yeers, but I simply adore the guy. He truly bleeds black and white.
And like others have pointed out, he's been one of our most important players this season- I'd only put Ronaldo, Dybala and maybe De Ligt above him.
