He's $#@!ing worth it. These are the prices in today's market. We wouldn't be needing to spend that much had we kept Vidal. Our powder puff midfield isn't going to cut it.
He'll be worth it come season's end. These are the prices these days. Otherwise we end with static, lethargic, cumbersome players like Khedira, or technically inept buffoons like Matuidi.
For next season I am more worried about this season we earned 100 million euros from champions league last season but are unwilling to spend it to upgrade the midfield
the wingers in our 4231 are hardly offensive though, they defend just as deep as Khedira-Pjanič like in a 442, you wouldn't call those 2 guys offensive midfielders, right?
Cuadrado is most of the time tasked to carry our offensive on the right side of the field. He has defensive duties like everyone in juve...but in the attacking phase, when he has to show his offensive qualities and create/ finish chances...he lacks a lot.
He is physically build up to be an offensive player clearly, his speed and his dribbles suggest that he is more of an attacker than he is a Vidal or a chiellini. I think this is clear, and thats why i call him an ofensive winger, even when allegri tells him to help on the defence like everyone does.
The problem here is that he just doesnt have the inventive to be a world class attacker, in short words. He wastes too many chances and this piles up pressure on our team fast.
His best attribute is his defensive contributions in my opinion. He's actually really smart tactically on the defensive side of things, I've found. In attack he just spasms everywhere.

He is absolutely fine as a rotation player. He is just horribly out of form, what he needs is a few games where comes on in the last 20 minutes or so and has an impact.
I don't. I think it's too much to ask to play as a RB. The big difference with playing RB as opposed to RWB is you have to play in line with the CBs now. As a RWB he can run all over the field. He'll never be holding anyone on side is what I mean. As a RB, he could get caught not stepping out on time or stepping out too early.
Then there is the issue of him covering for a CB. Say Benatia presses his attacker way up field. Now you are asking Cuadrado to tuck in beside Chiellini until Benatia can recover. And then there is defending crosses. So if we face Madrid, he is basically in Ronaldo's area on crosses.
There's really no chance. Maybe against small teams.
In theory, if Valencia could adapt to RB then he could too. In reality, I have no idea if he would have the positioning, discipline, or generally the knowledge to play the position. Might be a great RB or might be a total flop. But with so many offensive players in the team, can't hurt to give it a try I guess

Now he can't even beat himself mentally let alone another player or two. The guy can't cross, dribble...anything we need from an attacking winger he is horrid right now.
Needs to go or hit the bench or bumped to the last of the attacking options for the wings.
He would be the perfect deal sweetener though for another player.
