The biggest problem with him is he is not consistent at all.
In Camp Nou for example he got behind their back line so many times and always made the wrong pass or decision in the final third.
Against Genoa's and Inter's you can get away with that but at the highest level you need to deliver consistently especially in a final which is just one match.
If you could somehow put Dani Alves brain in Cuadrado that would fix the problem
This is my point. People here bail him with his clutch goals. Fine i loved those too.
But like Vialli said, and i cant stress this enoug...cuadrado IS RANDOM and limited. One day he is WC, the other day he is making all the wrong decitions and killing plays.
He masks his shortcomings because he is indeed very fast and has a quick dribble to his right which ridicules defenders sometimes...but once he goes beyond that point...he doesnt know how to finish plays.
He ends in a sticky situation:
On one hand he is forced to make crosses....but he is not good at shooting in any way, so most of them end all over the place.
If he decides to keep the ball, then he starts wasting time trying to dummy the defender he has in front and letting the enemy team rearrange the formation...losing all the advantage he got with the previous dribbling/run. Then proceeds to do a complicated pass to dybala or whoever is near fully marked.
If he decides to cut in and shoot, we go back to square one: He is right footed but he is forced to cut in and shoot with his left. Since he is no left footed he obviosly prefers to use his right foot...but then again, he is not good at shooting and most of the time is a spray and pray shoot from a tight angle, easy for the keeper to predict.
I really like his speed and above everything..his cheeky dribbles.... but when he gets to the 3/4, is annoying as hell and makes you wonder what could have been if we had a player with insane end product there.
