Yeah, I don't see how anyone can make firm predictions about Napoli at this point.

It's entirely possible that they will have the second best team/squad in Serie A by the end of the mercato, but I would still find it hard to place them.

I think the start of the season is key for them: start well and convince themselves they can win without Cavani and they could do well; start poorly and they could struggle for a EL place.
The problem is, mazzarri had build a specific playstyle, making most of their team, entirely around cavani.

They lost both now, probably best if cavani goes, that mazzarri also goes. But now it gets tricky.

Napoli's team isnt quite as allrounded, they are perfect to play with a strong central striker like cavani, but every other striker will have problems with the limitations they got.

who do they got really ?

a tough midfield, a halfdecent defence, hamsic and a few promising wider players. But thats it.

there is no way they'll replace cavani with a simular style player and play nearly as good. If they sell cavani, they need 2 seriously good players to fill the gab. a striker, and a creative player

there are such players, they might get the striker if higuain signs, but thats about it.
And i cant see why gonzalo would go to fucking naples.

Higuain to Chelsea sounds more probable.
I cant see what naples can offer higuain, that chelsea cant allready.

Di Marzio:

Zuniga's agent met Napoli to inform them Zuniga wants to go to Juventus.
another player wanting to reject napoli for juventus. amazing ! puts them in their place

welcome to Juve time yet?
Please, dont become an irritant peasant liverpool supporter

No offence to our beloved pool supporting mod, as he isnt one of those

You can make pretty much any team sound ordinary talking like that. What have Milan - who have to be viewed as Juve's main challengers just now - got? Balotelli and not much else.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that Napoli are a serious threat to Juve, but I wouldn't say other teams are obviously significantly stronger than them.

Julio Cesar

Maggio-Albiol-Cannavaro-??????

Behrami-Inler

Callejon-Hamsik-Insigne

??????

Now clearly those two blanks make a big difference, but I think that has the makings of a pretty decent team.

Milan, got balotelli, el sharaawy, dat niang dude, good midfield when fit, promising defenders.

actually, what they need is robinho to go away, and land a new central defender. Actually, milan would have benefitted massively if they had ogbonna instead of us.

Looking at napoli...

Clearly that team works excellent with cavani up front like you post it.

See, its the same again. I see 3 players, who cannot carry the team. Hamsic is a fine player, yes, and insigne has talent simular to callejon.
But none of those are actually the ones that are going to carry the frontline, they are all 3 players who mostly excell, when a very strong center forward is carrying the team, and they can play around him, combining of and with him, in the space he makes.

THE perfect forward for them, ironically would be llorente, he would be SO good in that team.

Beppe Marotta, signing the key players that milan, napoli and inter (tevez at inter omfg) needed to become a treath

I actually think we would have got jovetic if fiorentina would have accepted players in the deal. I just think we were not willing to give up quality fo rhim and to be fair to marotta i think spending 30 million on him now when it is not needed would have put massive pressure on the club. sure we have players to sell, but none are going to be easy and worth a lot.

So if we offload PDC, somehow....Zuniga becomes back up to both WB positions....peluso, caceres and ogbonna all back up to the CB positions. If this happens, is that the last of incoming players? Surely Marotta needs to start offloading.
