Well, Zuniga is a fantastic player, but we unfortunately don't really have a need right now for a wingback as much as we do for another quality forward. In that sense it is senseless, but I've liked Zuniga for a long time, he's very good. In my opinion one of the top 3 wingers/wingbacks in the league. I don't think we'd be looking at him so close if a good deal couldn't be worked out anyway.

Why are people calling him a Napoli reject?

He's basically one of Napoli's core, who played 40 matches for them this season and assisted 6 goals. But hey, he attempted 25 shots and scored none. That's enough reason not to want him.

Cama cama cama cama cama camiiiiillooooooooooo!!! :weee:

Where do you get your stats from? ESPN says he has three assists, whoscored says he got three assists, where did you pull out 6? Never in his career has he amassed more than 3 assists in a season, that alone speaks volumes about his supposed "offensive ability".
If he is a Napoli's "core player" and is rated so high, why is he avaliable for 3-4m? I don't see Maggio, Hamsik or Cavani being available for anything close to that. Bringing in Armero and apparently putting Zuniga on market tells you all about how much of a core player he really is.
The bottom line is we don't need another LWB, unless it's a player good enough to move Assamoah back to center, Zuniga certainly isn't. Having a good backup for every position is ok, but having a 30+ player squad is just ridiculous and stupid, especially with our injury record.

Make a ridiculous offer to Bologna for Diamanti, while trying to to get rid of Motta ... Enjoy the ends contract of Zuniga to make an offer at a discount. Marotta is Shaped :juventus:

Fuck these types of transfers. Guys like Zoo Nigga and Diacunti should be last minute transfers, when we have wrapped up the transfers that matter. It isn't like there are a ton of clubs lining up to sign them, and the longer we wait, the more likely we are to get a better deal. Either that, or some shitstain club like Inter, Milan, or Roma snap him up before we do, which is great, cuz we didn't really need the player and/or he wasn't that good anyway. Win-Win situation as far as I am concerned.

RUS uses it and it never lies btw.

The point isn't how much did he assisted this season. The point is that we need a player like on our left aide who's able to put in a good cross, beat his man and is a threat offensively, unlike Asamoah who's only solid defensively.
