Zuniga on the cheap would be a nice addition to our squad.

On a side note: I feel for the people who have to watch football with american commentary, jesus are they annoying and lame.

leave asa centrally. pls. zuniga actually can beat his man not just by stopping..fan fan fan then pushing to the end line...asamoah has little variation in that regard..any defender worth his salt would chew that the fuck up...and can he whip in a proper cross in the air?? it looks more like a swing and hope someone meets it or a defender misses/miscontrols it....i dont know what you all parameters are for a good wingback but asa doesnt have it as he's not a flickin wingback..

Again, people evaluating players based on what they look like without context or statistics. Asamoah had nearly as many assists as Zuniga has in his entire Serie A career of 5 seasons. How is this stat so easy to ignore? And this is with our strikers vs. EDINSON CAVANI on the end of crosses.

Asamoah's go to move is actually pretty decent because he creates space for himself against a packed defense. You see, Zuniga plays in a wide open counter attacking team so he has some room to maneuvre through defenders, that's why you might start fapping to him if he can dribble a couple guys at the half way line. But against Juventus teams pack the bus and there is no wingback in world football that can consistently be effective offensively when there are so many players against him in a tight space like the top of the box.

So Asamoah tries to draw his marker out as high as he will come to create a footrace to the end line which he won every time prior to the African cup. He won against Ivanovic over and over in the Champions League FFS. And he got crosses in.

Now I'm not saying Asamoah is the best offensively but at the end of the year the stats are there. 3 goals and 7 assists is far above average for wingbacks. And his defending is elite. Yes, he's better as a CM but our TEAM is better with him at LWB.

You can buy Zuniga if you want but it better be fucking pennies because otherwise it's a giant waste of money because he's not better than Asamoah at anything except fancy tricks which ultimately are proven to be useless.

Let's get Zuñiga, let him be the main second-LWB, Peluso to replace Chiello when need to rest/injury. Get rid of De Ceglie.

Zuniga will bring that offensive firepower we've always wanted to see from the flanks in the 3-5-2. And since we have no offensive players besides our 2 strikers, a guy like Zuniga could be a great addition and alternative to the more defensive Peluso.

Asamoah actually had more assists than Zuniga had in the last FOUR YEARS.
But apparently he contributes more than Asamoah in attack :howler:

Yep, that same offensive firepower that has seen him register barely any assists and goals over the past few seasons - in a counter-attacking team which gives him plenty of space.
