Senseless signing. I hope it means that Asamoah will start playing a center position or something. I prefer Peluso on the left since he can cross, Zuniga is just a runner.

Well, Zuniga is a fantastic player, but we unfortunately don't really have a need right now for a wingback as much as we do for another quality forward. In that sense it is senseless, but I've liked Zuniga for a long time, he's very good. In my opinion one of the top 3 wingers/wingbacks in the league. I don't think we'd be looking at him so close if a good deal couldn't be worked out anyway.

Maybe you confused him with Armero.

Zuniga is actually good.

He's good, I agree. Just not that good. And yeah, he does looks like Armero :p
Armero, Zuniga :andy2: fuck 'em both!

We don't need fuckers like that to waste money on. Peluso is good enough for backup and Asamoah is better to start over both so there is no point. I would prefer a real LWB/LB bought like Kolarov and move Asamoah back to CM.

He know hows to dribble well enough, unlike any of our wingbacks, is pretty fast, and is ok with crossing/passing. All in all, I dont care if we sign him or dont (prefer bigger upgrade, but LWB aint gonna be a priority this time around either), but its nothing to be up in arms about, since he would be cheap and and bit of an improvement on to the squad depth (to put it mildly, non of our options dribbles remotely good). Though it will be corious to see him in a team that has alot of (slow) possession all the time and tries to penetrate settled 10 man defences as we tend to face. Instead of the constant counter attacking with space ahead of you approach of Napoli, latter obviously quite easier M.O for offensive fullbacks, though he is more of the type to exploit space and link up with others then providing the final balls in Napoli (more of Hamsiks game there, or the more offensive wing of Maggio).

I think it's a good move. He's a good player, not the best but enough to do a job. We moan bout not having good enough back up players when players get fatigued or deserve to be dropped (Isla) but were not in a position to be spending big money on wing backs just yet. Our forwards our our main priority as neither of them can hit a barn door on a regular basis. So I'm all in for this Zuniga/wiga/jigga fella especially for the amount that's being said.
