The Soccer Schools of Juventus and Manchester United, assisted by collaboration of Nike, are continuing to reach out to many young hopefuls and reaping the rewards of a working relationship which began back in 2004.
After recently hosting their counterparts from the MUSS project, the JSS team accepted the invitation to spend several days in England to visit the Red Devils’ environment. It provided both parties the opportunity to exchange ideas and working practices in order to create stimulating programmes dedicated to those who love football.
Both clubs also made the most of the occasion by discussing discuss their respective plans for international expansion. MUSS currently operate in the Middle East, India and Portugal, while JSS can include Greece, Slovenia, Switzerland, Poland, United States and Mexico among their global projects.
“It was a great opportunity,” admitted JSS International Project Coordinator Carolina Chiappero. “What struck me the most was how similar our two realities are, even more than you would have already gathered from the various times we’ve met. Even though we work far apart and under different conditions, by chasing our objectives we have been and are still taking parallel routes, very much close to each other. Routes that will hopefully bring JSS to open up in an even greater number of countries... and to keep a step ahead of them!”
