Where do you get that?
He got it from here.
But i read lately an article, that they messed up the renewing and so his contract ends 2018... but i'm not sure.

He's in a contract wrangle
So why would a man who seem settled be up for a transfer? The answer is simple. Atletico have, despite all their brilliant business in dishing out new deals of late, managed to completely mess up tying down Gimenez to a new contract.
Back in January, Marca reported that the No. 24. had agreed an improved deal, increasing both his salary and release clause, but crucially extended the length after 2018. Atleti are thus now in a position where, facing a FIFA transfer ban, one of their prime assets is entering the final 18 months of his deal and his valuation will only go down unless they can get him to commit. Right now, he is unlikely to do so given he is not starting and something needs to give in that respect.
