Why not loaning Martinez and signing anyone else permanently, Aquilani for 16M, Quaq for 15M or even Pepe for 10 would make much more sense.

He was pretty decent when deployed on the top... On the wings he has the tendency to drift too much into the middle... Even when he passes back to our left backs, his first instinct is to run through the middle... That or he wants to dribble the whole of the opposition team and loses out after the first player...
