The man hasn't impressed me so far and I don't think he can make a serious impact till the season's end.His contribution is limited by his inability to really produce something remotely dangerous for the opposition side.He doesn't score,he can't create opportunities for his teammates and doesn't even contribute sufficiently when it comes to help the defence.I know he was injured but even before the injury he hadn't been impressive and in fact is in poor form since the begining.It is very unlikely that he will manage to score or give an assist and it is the only objective way I can measure his performance because the prime responsibilities of an attacking midfielder/forward are these.I can only think of a single clever through ball to Del Piero against Samp and that is by far the most significant result of Martinez's pathetic efforts.Even Tiago would've been ashamed of such inefficiency who was the gold standard for years in that category when he was our player.I can only hope that Martinez can surprise me in the next games but it wouldn't change my opinion that overall he is an average player with limited skills and gloomy prospects.
