Juventus defender Jonathan Zebina has agreed to join Milan at the end of the season, according to reports in Italy.

The stopper is contracted to the Bianconeri until June 2009, but is allegedly looking for a new home in Milan as his adventure with the Turin outfit seems near to an end.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the Frenchman has been in contact with Rossoneri officials and the two parties have reached an agreement in principle, which should be finalised shortly.

The player joined the Old Lady in 2003 from Roma along with Coach Fabio Capello and initially impressed.

However, he’s been plagued by injury problems over the last two years and is believed to have a frosty relationship with new boss Didier Deschamps.

The former Cannes man was already a reported target for the Via Turati outfit in 2005, when the full-back was considered surplus to requirements at Juve.

Zebina has now been identified as an ideal player to begin the rebuilding process for a Rossoneri defence in urgent need of rejuvenation.

In the meantime, Juve general director Jean-Claude Blanc has confirmed that the Bianconeri are planning some major signings in view of their likely return to Serie A.

“We will immediately build a strong side and it will be even better in 2010, when we will also have a new stadium,” said Blanc.

“Sporting director Alessio Secco has been travelling a lot all over Europe to view many players, we will have some important new signings.”

If his contract expires on June 2008, we can get only the wages of his last year...
Does this matter, I expected we would have to pay teams to take him out of our hands, no matter how little money we get for him, it is always a good deal.

Finally. It took long enough. In typical Zebina fashion, he will get injured right b4 the start of the next transfer window so the deal will fall through.

About Zebina, i think it's good that we sold him because was a troublemacker from the start. Higher wages, guaranteed place in the team, rejecting to play. And There are the injuries also, and about Tudor i think it's good to NOT pay him his wages, because on the end of this season it's more from sure that he's leaving Juventus, and noone gonna buy him out. So it's just throwing away money!
And who is going to listen all that mouning after Tudor finds a new team...
