Haven’t seen much of Jonathan David. Apart from when he scored against us. Is he really worth all this hype?

The way I look at it, in this place, every player is worth all the hype.

Imagine how life would be boring here without it.

We once hyped Giovinco so much that his Parma stats became legendary.

He is not a must have top player. So there is no real hype about him. But he is a good all around attacker, good market opportunity to get him as bosman.

He can play lone CF, SS/AM off a CF, or drift wide at times. He is mainly about his runs and direct finishing then all that refined skilled. But is useful counter attacking player and capable with the ball.

I would like him as an extra option for our attack for sure. Consistent around 15 to 24 goals a season player in ligue 1 for years (was mostly only behind Mbappe for strikers in that league).

I would say he is around the level of a Marcus Thuram, another bosman I wish we had gotten back then.

If Tudor likes his attackers to be very mobile on counter and press resistant, David could fit in well enough:

He is Canadian, but his ethos is French.

He will bring in Zalayeta's type of legs, Kean's calm goal celebrations and @Lion's type of Canadian keyboard cockiness.

Watching the YouTube clips he reminds me a lot of Lautaro Martinez. A player who isn't really amazing at anything but somehow always manage to score plenty of goals. A Higuain kind of player?

You can notice from Kolo and Yildiz from the previous games what he wants from his attackers. And tbh I like it. I always loved Lacey more mobile strikers since we can’t have a Tevez.

Kolo and David in the squad is a great move.

I dislike Higuain but imo prime Higuain was level above Martinez the inconsistent pussy.

I’ve never seen him but can anyone confirm if he’s a 9 or 10? Can he drop deep and be a playmaker? Or drift to the wings and cut in. From what I’ve seen on YT he seems like a poacher but that’s just goal highlights

I do worry about the popularity of this club in the Middle East, we’ve got an Hebrew president, Zionist supporting GM, visiting the White House and right now we’re signing Americans. Most likely we won’t do any tours in the Middle East anymore and sell donuts with the Jj logo on our webshop
