This club paid €16M as a signing on fee for fucking Can :fab3:

If the total financial package for David costs less than paying 40-50M for a Retegui, I think the club would do this deal

Hopefully we can negotiate the signing on fee to a lesser amount

Buying him for 20-25m its still a good deal. Take into consideration that we are paying the signing on fee also with the normal transfer, its just never mentioned, its probably less than this, but looking at the money we pay to the agents it isnt small at all.

the real issue are wages, they report 7 -8m but no info if its net or not, if its net then I would totally avoid, if its not net then I would sign him for that money.

It's just all the wrong vibes I'm getting from this dude. Would like for us to dodge that bullet.

This is why Inter and Napoli stopped going after him. We are late to the game as usual.
i don't think we're late, especially if inda and napoli are looking elsewhere

25m as a signing bonus is outrageously excessive though. as a free agent, his wages would be higher than normal anyway. greedy players and equally greedy agents took advantage of the club's stupidity already, it needs to stop

‼️ Juventus will soon present their offer to Jonathan David, a salary of €5.5M plus a signing on bonus of €15M and bonus incentives. In this way, David's first year would cost about €25 million gross between salary and bonuses.

Via: La Gazzetta Dello Sport
Would his amortization just be his wages after year 1 then? Am I reading this right?

I thought we amortize the entire bonus across the life of the contract so 5.5m net plus 15m bonus across 5 years. This seems like no or maybe I'm missing where the extra cost for year 1 would be.

i'd also think that sign-on fees, agent fees are amortized across the length of the contract

anyway, vlahovic costs north of 40m so from the 2nd year david would cost less than 1/4 of dusan

This is the shame about Vlahovic. The goal when you spend big on a strike and amortize as such a high price is that you'll get into the second contract where the amortization is just their wages.

And by "shame" I mean besides him not being a top 25 striker in the world like we had hoped.
