He should GTFO because of the calciogate affair, not because of a lack of financial support (money has not been the issue). Look at how FIAT went to bat for Ferrari when McClaren was caught spying on them. They spared no expense and pulled out all the punches. For Juventus, they bent over an took it, despite knowing full well the accusations were bullshit (which has been proven).

Even without Gianni, the Agnelli family still have plenty of influence. FIAT are an Italian industrial giant with a revolving door to government, the Agnelli family are married to countless royals/nobles, and the board of directors of all their various companies are packed with business elties. They could have squashed the calciopoli farce if they really wanted too.

Bla bla bla, more bullshit talk from this incompetent creep.

It's been 5 years and we are actually regressing not improving with all your so called "project" bullshit talk.

Either invest wisely on solid management/coaches/players, or GTFO.

[On continuity] “Juventus is on course for a change that needs time, to have a younger and more competitive squad. I have a lot of faith in Juventus, but the fans need to be close and support the team. This season’s performance is tied to so many changes. When a team is still young, like Juventus, it’s hard to be compact as a team at times. I think that continuity is crucial, and we’ll see the results in the next few years. As for Delneri? I have nothing to say. What counts more is that there is stability, and unfortunately, to discuss all this every year makes it that more difficult to build and plan for the future.”

[On club objectives and finances] “The next board meeting will see what we expect, and what we’ll see of the next few championships. I expected a different type of season, and hoped for one, but it’s gone as it has. They will decide the objectives, and if there is need for support, Exor will give it. [Referring to the hypothesized capital infusion) At the moment, we cannot yet quantify the eventual increase. From the club, we haven't received a request. Last year we made many big changes, investing in many new players. We will focus on fewer this summer, and the mercato will be done then, not now. The club did a lot of work with Andrea to start a new cycle."

[On the role of the fans] “We’re working towards a greater involvement with our fans, who need to believe in how the club is being run. At the beginning of the next season, we’re opening the new stadium and Juve’s management is already working on a new plan until 2014. For example, fans will have their own spot in the stadium, like with a museum or various entertainment locations. [Casino+Strip club per favore] If we look at the models of success in Europe, like Barcelona or Bayern, it’s clear that they are marked as clubs where the fans have a particularly active role.”

We need some no-nonsense owner, most likely American. They know how to handle shit, and I'm not talking about Suckitberg.

I do not blame John for failing to invest in a club that is tied to his blood, precisely because he has invested. We have been big spenders in Europe over the last few years. I trust him as a businessman, as did his grandfather, who adored this club.
'(Gianni)Agnelli was also closely connected with Juventus, the most renowned Italian football club[7], of which he was a fan and the direct owner. His phone calls, every morning at 6 am, from wherever he was, whatever was he doing, to the club's president Giampiero Boniperti, were legendary.' (from wikipedia)...
I do not think such a man would entrust such a prized connection and ownership, to a man who couldn't continue to make it beautiful and rewarding in many ways.

I highly doubt that John has time for playing as prominent a role as his nonno did, in terms of such constant involvement with the club. His primary job is maintaining and expanding the family fortunes...of which juventus is but one part. At least financially speaking...which makes me understand things a little better. As Blanc has apparently done very well indeed with the $$$$$$ off field matters. I feel there are people between John and the decisions to hire people like Secco, Ciro, Del Neri and Marotta...people who have more weight in the decisions than John, mainly because they are more qualified in such matters than the boss, and he trusts them, for one reason or another...i am saying that i do not blame John directly for the awful and below average appointments who we have seen since 2006. Responsibility ends with him, but he seems too astute, as a businessman, to be taking decisions on a major asset, which others around him are more qualified to advise upon.

Such is the history of the club, of the family behind them also...we will never become a seriously provincial club, year after year showing mid table value...we have too much money behind us, and history. at the rate we are moving through managers we will, by sheer chance, soon come across someone who fits. Not many clubs can afford to spend 50m a summer. Elkann WILL find the right people to spend the money wisely. Meanwhile, Blanc will continue to wave his magic wand and keep the commercial side of things running sweetly...del neri isnt a bad manager. marotta isnt a bad transfer specialist. both have made mistakes, and had some success. Marotta has done better in his job than delneri. Matri, Sorensen, Krasic, Storari, Bonucci, Quagiarella are all very good moves. The aquilani deal was impressively well worked, but question marks remain over whether alberto is worth the investment, after a dire second half of the season. Still, great work for beppe...martinez is the most obvious mistake, a very, very costly one. Who can be blamed for this directly, impossible to tell. Martinez? completely choking, consistent injuries, shown nothing of the flamboyant and useful player he was at catania???marotta's communication with delneri? why buy a wide left forward, who loves to cut into the box and score goals with his own feet, bit of flair, lovely turn of pace...when the manager needed, and surely asked for, a classic left winger, hugging the touchlines, putting in crosses as much as defending the flank???? that one remains shrouded in horrible mystery. Motta, traore...bad moves. Although i understand the very cheap risk of Motta...we needed someone more solid and experienced than de ceglie (with grosso frozen out)...NOT a left back even less developed than our own fledgling left back. Bad move. not a calculated risk, like motta, but just a bad move. Toni was as OK signing. Not sure if a cheaper back up target man could be found, with his experience. short term OK move.

delneri has done OK. although his ability to foment encouragement, hope and fine spirit into the squad pre christmas, has been cancelled out by his inability to stop a real rot setting into the team as a whole, after the Parma game...Strong managers don't allow the rot to set in. and we are desperately in need of strength in leadership positions.

I would give beppe the summer, but not delneri. Only unless we truly cannot find a better manager. However bare John's understanding of football, as a game, he certainly understands the commercial elements involved with the new stadium...and i doubt he is anything other than determined to sack delneri, and demand of those around him, to find him a better manager. I am unsure if beppe could be for the chop also. Probably not...our main problem however, in terms of attracting a world class coach is if anything, marotta. With two 7th placed finishes in a row, a squad that has perhaps just 2-3 world class players, one of whom is 37 years old, and another recovering from a lengthy spell out and struggling to recover form...some potential in youth...problems in both fullback positions, a central defence with one player still learning the game, aging attackers, despondent regista, our best left winger as a utility man who seems more suited to lecce...indeed, its not a pretty sight. NO WORLD CLASS MANAGER will come here unless he finds common ground with marotta in terms of Sales and Acquisitions, for the summer. I do not think delneri and marotta are anywhere near on common ground...I can not imagine Ferguson, Capello, Lippi, Wenger or mourinho, declaring one week in the summer, that Diego will be part of our team, an important part...then a week later, marotta selling him.

we have money. a squad that could be much higher up the table, or at least competing for 2nd-4th, rather than 4th-8th, even through using the average budgets of the last few summers, in a more intelligent manner this year. It does not take a genius to see we have next to zero quality in the full back positions, only one decent winger (who seems burnt out), a lack of leadership on the pitch, and i assume, also in the dressing room, but at least a solid base to work with...(buffon, storari, chiellini, marchisio, melo, del piero, matri, krasic, quag)...at worst, you have 7 of a starting 11 there.
buffon/storari
chiellini
marchiso melo
krasic quags/del piero
matri

its a solid base. bonucci has potential, and we seem set to stick with him...and with decent fullbacks i am sure he will mature quicker. so i will be happy to see him IN as a starter. as long as we buy a definitely decent RB and LB. We also need to do something with martinez...he isn't right for del neri's 4-4-2, but could be right for a manager who can play him in his natural role....still, we need better wingers. jorge is not a winger...
two proper fullbacks, a wicked left winger...and a decent challenger to both LW and RW, whether purchased or promoted from the youth team. Sorenson can challenge Beck or whoever comes in, and also cover at CB, challenge bonucci maybe...

delneri is already gone. despite John's comments about continuity. His business mind knows to enjoy continuity of a situation which brings success and joy...not one which embarrasses the history of his own family, and loses him money it really should be earning through competing at the highest level...a lot seems to depend on Beppe.
