This is a sum up of various transfer news i found in Italian sites:

1. There is much interest from Fiorentina for the aquisition of Manuele Blasi, since he had played in Parma also under the services of coach Prandelli, who had always (for some reason) appreciated him as a player.

2. Moggi is hoping to use Blasi's transfer as a method to obtain Manuel Pasqual, the left winger jointly owned by Fiorentina and Arezzo.

3. Rafa Benitez seems positive of Gerrard remaining at Liverpool, thus hushing the various rumours suggesting a transfer to Juventus.

all from Alice Sport

add:

4. Juventus has agreed with Ibrahimovic's agent on the terms for contract renewal, but nothing has yet been signed.

Of course. But IMO we must give Zlatan one more year.
One more year to do what ? screw up again ? If we want to score lots of goals, we need a new forward, otherwise we never going to get close to the Champions League win.

Anyone know much about pasqual and how good he has been for fiorentina? If his a hot prospect then I would certainly choose him over mancini ( not that we would possibly ever get him).

Well, when you consider the fact that Pasqual most of all is a left full-back I don't see any reason why to even consider him. I think we already have enough (and more) players for that position. Whereas Mancini's mostly played as a right winger you really can't compare them.

Fiorentina was interested in Blasi last summer, and since Zanetti is joining he will probably leave.

You know what???! I really do not get it. We get rid of Blasi who is young, for a close to retiring old git in Zanetti?

What will our average age of the squad be in a few years? 35?

FFS Capello at least bring in some young enthiusiastic players.

DONUT!!!!! :disagree:

Right thanks for the info, and I couldnt agree with you anymore on regarding why on earth we would go for another left back. Well if this rumour is true then maybe we have other plans for chiellini and balza, one of them could possibly become a centre back or right back for sure.

Think of it this way - Capello won't be around for that long and after his "project" with Juventus is over he can happily move on and let his successor(s) to clean up the whole mess. Even if he was kicked out earlier than his contract would expire it would not be his problem.

Just some quick notes according to rumours -

Marchionni will replace Olivera, that's -80 born player replacing -83 born
Zanetti to replace Blasi, -77 and -80
Antonioli to replace Abbiati, -69 and -77
