I took one too but I think there is more to come, hopefully I can empty before I start.
Is it normal not to be relaxed before a race? Because you aren't :)

Will the anxiety disappear when you start running? I heard football players saying how they were very nervous, but the moment they step on the pitch the nervousness disappears. But in some non-sport related cases, like exams for example, the student can be nervous both before and during the exam.

Or is this your first one ever?

It is very normal to be nervous before the race and this is not my first time. This time however I am more nervous than usual because of the size of the event. It is the world's largest half marathon with 58000 runners.

The moment they fire the gun the nervousness goes away, some of the nervousness disappears when I go to the start area and see all the happy runners around me and with some warming up things start getting better.

Two hours to go, I am leaving home in 40 minutes.

That's 4 times more than the entire population of my home town.

Anything worse than top 5000 is unacceptable. Don't log in at all anymore if you embarrass us with some 6000th place :p

I can assure you that I will be very far from top 10 000. Out of all the races I have done I ended up almost always in the middle.

Wow, I thought at least 3/4 of the runners are complete amateurs who are in it just for fun and will give up after 10km.
So we're actually talking about professionals here from many countries?

Just finish the race then. We'll accept you back and forgive you for not being top 5000. :D

It is actually much more than 3/4 of the runners amateurs. There are 200 elite runners and around 3000 really fast runners, the rest are just like me but trust me, very few give up.

Now I don't know about today, it is extremely hot and we didn't have time at all to train in such temperatures. My warmest run was at 12 degrees and today it is blue sky and 23 degrees with no wind at all.

I'm off! I took two dumps, the second one was extremely small but I think it's enough or at least that's what I hope.

It's extremely hot and the Juve jersey is thick, I wish I can have a tank top but I promised myself to run wearing it.

See you later, thank you all of you for your kind wishes and support.
