If it came down to Pastore or Sanchez, I definitely hope we go for the Chilean. Don't get me wrong Pastore is fantastic, but he seems to blow more hot and cold, and disappears for large portions of the game. Sanchez is much more consistent, as well as being versatile enough to play on the wing, not that I hope he ends up there, but it is a bonus.

Well, this is a typical knee-jerk response after one player was involved in a 7-0 thrashing of the other. Now after a few bad matches by Palermo, Pastore is an inconsistent hack. Typical.

Looking at Sanchez, he really fits in well with the current Udinese side. They all work for one another and their overall style of play really suits the Chilean. They press you hard when you have the ball, and attack with pace on both sides of your box. Obviously, Palermo isn't as good of a team as the other black and whites, and they have much less quality when Miccoli is out of the side. I think his absence is partly why Pastore hasn't been as good. He has very little to work with.

Put Pastore out there with a fit Quag and you'll get some good play methinks. Not so much if it's Toni.

So Sanchez is more consistent than Pastore? How so?
Because he scored 4 goals, you know, the amount of goals you score in 1 game says alot about pattern of consistency for ones entire career. Who cares Sanchez though a fantastic talent, was the posterboy for inconsistency until this season. He scored 4 goals yo.

Pastore 1st of this season > Sanchez 1st of this season (give or take around when Illic took over the show)

Sanchez 2nd half of this season > Pastore 2nd half of this season.

Talk about major consistency difference.

No its not a knee jerk reaction, i've been watching both of these two players since the beginning of the season, and the only reason i'm mentioning it now, is because we're being linked to both so I just wanted to offer my two cents. I don't have any statistics to point to the fact that pastore is incosistent, however from the 15 or so matches i've seen him play in, about half of them he has had little to no impact, whereas from what i've seen of sanchez he has been fundamental in almost every game. Also another thing, sanchez has 11 goals in 20 games started, whereas pastore has 10 goals in 27, pastore has 4 assists and sanchez has 3. Given those stats and the fact we want a SS i'd prefer sanchez. Then again this is my opinion, I just wanted you to know that it's not without warrant.

I was just proving a point that andy said after my post...knee jerks. Both have had good and bad moments this season.

I just read something in goal.com about United being in talks with his agent. I thought Fergie had spent all the transfer kitty for the next decade on Rooney's wages.

1. We can't afford him.
2. He doesn't fit us, we still insist on playing 4-4-2 and Fergie likes all around central midfielders.
3. If we did sign him, Fergie would play him deeper like he did with Anderson, and we know what happened to Ando.
4. It's too good to be true, and as the say, if something is too good to be true, it's probably is.

Don't worry United can't afford him. :seven:

Also United's full midfield have just signed new contracts this week :lol2:
Scholes along with Gibson is yet to sign a new contract.

It's pretty depressing, Carrick get's a contract renewal and we'll probably sign nobody in the summer. :sergio:

Palermo is going to change formation under Cosmi, they are going to play a 3-5-2 formation with Pastore as second striker. It will be interesting to watch him play in that position

Toni.V :tuttosport: What a player he is. doesn't have the talent other wingers have, but he's damn quick, works hard and puts in some quality crosses, and the thing I like the most about him the most is that unlike Nani, he's consistent.
But, even having a threesome with Natalie Portman and Adriana lima wouldn't make up for the disappointment that our central midfield is. :sergio:
