Yeah, the flights cost over three times as much, and it would compromise the time i have for the rest of asia. I am already planning a three month tour of india in 2011 lol.

Why? i wish i had the time and money to go to india, but there isnt anywhere else before that i can see fitting into the trip. And i do play guitar and i can be quite funny. So it could be a world tour

i dont think it will be enough and i meant 2012 not 2011...my bad. I will try and fit Nepal in as well. Start in Sri Lanka and hop onto the mainland and work my way up....i know a bit of tamil to get by and i can pick up some punjab etc. en route.

I just thought it strange that you didn't feel anywhere in between was worth a visit, that's a lot of land and many countries, but if nothing takes your fancy and time/money is restricted to more favourable places it makes sense. BTW Bangkok is really turning into a hell hole.
