I've been refusing to open this thread all week. I don't want to believe we're dumb enough to even entertain the idea.

I have a few close friends who are Manchester United supporters. When asked about Sancho, these were some of the responses I received:

"Sancho is by far our worst signing in terms of contribution to the team and value for money than anyone else."

"Massive disappointment. Absolutely atrocious. Shocking signing."

"Fucking disgrace."

We're so good at building an unlikeable, lazy Club with a style of play that would have fit in smoothly 4 decades ago

Clearly all we were missing to compete was the man branded "Man Utds worst ever signing"

I watched maybe 6 games last season. I'm gonna try and half that

I think Juve should completely avoid signing players with salaries over 3-4 million, unless they’re truly proven and well-known stars. Paying high wages makes it hard to sell them later, and we end up repeating the same issues we had with Vlahovic, Rabiot, Dybala, and others.

Utd are not interested in our flops, yet we seem Interested in theirs. We have no shame.
EPL “flops” like McTominay, Tammy and Tomori were pretty solid in Italy. I couldn’t be bothered by a player being not good enough for MU.

Why are we supposedly signing authentic wingers if Tudor is going to play a back 3 formation? Is Sancho going to be forced into the space that Yildiz, David, Koopmeiners and Chico are already supposedly going to be occupying?

I think Sancho is meant to be Nico’s replacement. Last season, Nico played as a right wing back in some matches. I think in the easier Serie A games, where we can attack more, Tudor plans to use Sancho as a right wing back, with the right sided center back covering behind him. He can also play behind the striker as a back up for Chico. overall, the plan is probably to use him in multiple positions like Nico. But honestly, if he comes with a high salary, it’s not worth it, there’s a good chance he won’t perform, and with big wages, he’ll be impossible to sell later.

look at how Tudor lined it up at the cwc. He had two attacking players behind the striker. That’s where Sancho could theoretically fit in. I also think one of Chico/nico will be gone.

It has disaster written all over it, if that's the case. If he's playing as a RWB he's out of position, he has no interest in defending. If he's playing as one of two behind a striker he's in a more comfortable position but still not his best, and in a crowded area.
