if united are footing part of the salary then the loan fee is not so bad.

gives juve a chance to see if he can have impact with very low cost overall. if he is even as decent as douglas costa was then 30m is a bargain.

if he gives performances like 2020 dortmund sancho ones then juventus just signed a 120m level player for a massive discount.

He's been off form for 3 seasons, even his loan at Dortmund only brought 3 goals in 21 games. If we can get him back to his 2020 form it will pay off but his attitude is a concern, as is the number of players who have flopped outside the Bundesliga.

there is a risk but few things to bring up:

his loan happend midway in season. very few players have impact midway without proper pre season integration.

attitude is a bigger concern but hopefully a more professional environement helps. remember tevez who refused to play for man city and went golfing instead? that was a big risk signing that turned out amazing for juve.

I agree. In the past we have been good at getting players careers back on track, although that was pre Jj days. There is benefit of knowing that he can adapt to living outside the UK, which is something a lot of British players have struggled with.

Time will tell on this deal. He's not really convinced me when I have seen him but if it pays off we could make a big win. His attitude is a concern and probably the main reason why I wouldn't go for him though. There are too many stories from Man Utd, England and Dortmund about his training. We aren't really a club that seems to tolerate players being late or skipping training, so either he will fall in line or it will be a mess.

Sancho would be a big upgrade compared to Chiesa. That's enough.

Total bs, some of you need a reality check. You talk of the world class Sancho of 2020-2021. This current Sancho hasn't done anything in years, he been in the reject pile, only an ok half season loan in Dortmund that just ended.

And he doesn't have Injury excuse like Chiesa. Just bad attitude, lack of focus and general incompetence in adapting to new club on and off the pitch had been his down fall. He left Man City as youth to dortmund due to bad attitude and missed trainings, so Man U wasn't his first red flag.

There is a reason Dortmund only loaned him, and we will only loan at first to Juve too. He has been a 85m euro flop. He currently isn't big upgrade on anyone. He has to show again he can be quality player (not even a top class one like in past) again from scratch.

He is defenitely a reclamation project (or he would been out of our price range), so some of you need to adjust your expectations accordingly.

I agree, but without all that bagage there is no way in hell we'd be considering him. If he managed to behave, he'd be ridiculously expensive by now.

If we make an honest assessment though, it's unlikely we'll get 4-5 good seasons out of Sancho if we'd buy him. Maybe he does play really well for one season. Maybe two. At some point all of his issues will resurface though and it will inevitably be ugly. The question is: do we take the gamble that that one good season results in getting the club back on track?

@Fagioli, should we throw the dice?

Agreed, minus the petty obsession you have with Fagioli :D

We don't have the budget to invest big in wingers, so we will take the loan opportunity that is Sancho and hope for the best.

I can only assume that Chiesa really pissed off the management, Sancho for mine is about the same amount of risk as re-signing Fede.
