There is no reason to enlarge capacity of JS
Numbers actually say that there are plenty of reasons to think about expansion. I could make small calculation using financial tables to show you how much money we will lose in the next 10 years.
If expand for 10k and out of that number 8k were sold every week.
8k*50 Euros (average price)=400k Euros
If we play let's say 20 games per season
400k*20=8 million Euros
And now over the period of 10 years with let's say interest rate of 5% using third table factor would be 12,578 so you have
8M*12,578=100,624M Euros or approximately
100M Euros of lost revenues over 10 years. Or if you want to reverse it you can say 8M*7,722 (factor for 5% i.r. over 10 years)=
61.8M as a present value of 80M received over 10 years.
I would say this is the minimum as we will play more than 20 games per season and an average ticket prices will be more than 50 Euros. Not to mention the other revenues connected with attracting the bigger crowd.
The other part are costs. Lets say we would need 30M for expansion. If someone has better idea about this number he can say it as I'm just guessing here. We would probably receive credit line so we can pay suppliers when necessary. I think we can get money with interest rate less than 7%. Over the 10 years it would be 30M+2,1M of interests=
32,1M Euros. Every year we would have to pay 3,21M. I will use here basic model with equal annuities for every year.
If we use financial tables again and multiple 3,21M with 7,722 (factor for 5% i.r. over 10 years), it brings us
24,8M Euros as a present value of our investment.
Even further you can look it the other way what if we had invested 30M in savings (not that we will do that but still) instead of expansion? Here we would multiply 30M*1,629 (factor for 5% i.r. over 10 years)=
48,87M.
Present value is 61.8M>30>24,8M,
while the future value would be 100M>48,8M>32,1M.
Whatever way you look at it we would gain more.
BTW against Pescara another sold out. Tickets were available this morning from 10am and by 11am they were all sold.
