"In the Korean language, Samsung means 'three stars’" :touched:

Is this true?

Anyway, I hope this is true. A stadium name isn't important, but money is. 120 million euros to be named Samsung Stadium for 5 years? I say take it.

When those 5 years have passed, Samsung will either have to renew (meaning even more money), or someone else will come in and buy the naming rights (more money). Great source of income

According to the founder of Samsung Group, the meaning of the Korean hanja word Samsung (三星) is "tristar" or "three stars". The word "three" represents something "big, numerous and powerful"; the "stars" mean eternity.

Anyway, we are getting 6.25 mil a year for next ~10 years. Any extra money goes to Sportfive. Why would they share their profit with us? They took some risk and after almost two years of paying for nothing they are going to earn some money.
